New Delhi: “Due to the Modi government’s flawed economic policies, the country’s overall employment market has been pushed into a major crisis. In this situation, reels are not enough to pacify the youth. What they need is jobs,” the Congress has criticized.
Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh, on his X page, shared a report saying that many of the country’s largest domestic companies are hiring far fewer workers than before, and made this criticism.
Pointing this out, Jairam Ramesh said in his X post, “Something we have been saying repeatedly has now been proven true. The Modi government has had a deep impact on the Indian economy. Its effects are being felt by India’s youth. Over the past year, employment has fallen by 27% in 9 of the country’s 11 leading companies. This shows that the nation is suffering from a very serious employment crisis.
Yet, instead of moving toward solutions, this government stubbornly continues to deny that such a problem even exists.
This news about unemployment is only the tip of a much bigger problem. If this is the situation even in large companies, then one must think about the employment crisis in the micro, small, and medium industries. Because they are the ones most severely affected by the Modi government’s disastrous economic policies.

Earlier, during the Delhi CJP protest, Prime Minister Modi had appealed to the country’s youth through a selfie video to give up the protest. It was said that the rulers at the Centre were speaking in the style of Gen Z youth.
