New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke emotionally at the autobiography launch event, saying that he still feels the void left by his mother.
The launch event for the autobiography written by former President Ram Nath Kovind, titled ‘The Triumph of the Indian Republic: My Life, My Struggles,’ was held yesterday at Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi. At the event, Prime Minister Modi released the book and said:
I am proud to release the autobiography of former President Ram Nath Kovind. His autobiography will become a traditional symbol of Indian democracy. There are many things that the coming generations need to learn from it. I have a request to the younger generation.
This is the age of reels; social media influencers may draw you in a different direction and distract your attention. In this era of seeking shortcuts, we must remember something written at railway stations. Shortcuts will ruin your life. Young people, if you want to choose the shortcut, read the biographies of the people you admire. You should read biographies and learn lessons from others’ struggles.
Even after stepping down from the office of President, Kovind has not rested. With the aim of creating a new chapter in Indian democracy, he is working actively on the “One Nation; One Election” initiative. He continues to contribute to strengthening Indian democracy.
All young people must definitely read his autobiography. Ram Nath Kovind has written about his mother in his book. He has mentioned in the book how his mother died in a fire at home. I feel his pain. I am very fortunate. My mother lived to be 100 years old and left after blessing me.
Even so, I still deeply feel the void left by her absence. Ram Nath Kovind’s life shows us how a person’s determination can help them overcome difficult circumstances and rise to the highest constitutional office. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said this.
