In the case registered over alleged horse-trading involving a TVK MLA, bail had already been granted to 13 people, and the Madras High Court ordered bail for one more person.
Krishnan, who was arrested in this case, filed a petition in the Madras High Court seeking bail.
The case came up for hearing before Justice G.K. Ilanthiraiyan on Friday. After hearing the case, the judge ordered bail for Krishnan. It is noteworthy that all 14 people arrested in the horse-trading case have now been granted bail.
Further, in the horse-trading case, the judge who heard the petition filed by Karthikeyaraja seeking anticipatory bail adjourned the hearing to Sept. 1 and ordered that no harsh action should be taken against the petitioner until then. Likewise, he also ordered relaxation of the conditions imposed on Sethuraj and Rajasekar, who were released on bail in the horse-trading case.
