Chennai: While bail had already been granted to 11 people arrested in the horse-trading case, the Chennai High Court has ordered bail for two more people.
Triplicane police have arrested 14 people for allegedly engaging in horse-trading with TVK MLA Ilayaraja of the Uthangarai constituency.
In this case, in which former DMK minister Senthil Balaji and his brother Ashok Kumar have obtained anticipatory bail, 11 people have so far been granted bail.
With the Chennai High Court having barred the Triplicane police station from investigating the case, Karunanidhi and Saravanan, who were arrested in the case, had filed petitions in the Chennai High Court seeking bail.
Both petitions came up for hearing today before Judge G.K. Ilanthiraiyan. Accepting their request, the judge ordered bail for both of them.
