The express train from Guruvayur to Chennai (No. 16128) has been announced to operate on a different route instead of the usual route on Aug. 12.
Regarding this, the Southern Railway said in a press release: Technical maintenance work has been carried out in the Madurai Railway Division. As a result, certain trains are being operated via diverted routes. The express train (No. 16128), which departs from Guruvayur at 11.15 p.m. on the 12th (Wednesday), will operate via Virudhunagar, Manamadurai, Karaikudi, and Trichy instead of the usual route.
It has also been announced that the Kanyakumari–Howrah Express train, which will run on the 8th, and the Nagercoil–Lokmanya Tilak Express train, which will run on the 9th, 13th, 20th, and 27th, will also be operated on an alternate route via Manamadurai and Karaikudi instead of the regular route.
