Chennai: In the second round of engineering admissions counseling, college allotment orders have been issued to 40,299 students.
In this regard, State Director of Technical Education and Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions Chairman P. Rathinasamy said in a press release issued yesterday: Engineering admissions counseling is being conducted online.
The deadline to confirm the temporary allotment in the 2nd round counseling ended on the 8th. In this situation, permanent allotment orders were issued on the 9th (yesterday) to 40,299 students who accepted the seats they were allotted, and temporary allotment orders were issued to 10,548 people who accepted the seats they were allotted and confirmed upward movement.
Students who have received a provisional allotment order must go to the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission Facilitation Centre listed in their preferred choice, and those who have received a permanent allotment order must go to the college allotted to them by Aug. 13, submit the original certificates, and pay the tuition fees.
Otherwise, their allotment will be automatically cancelled. In the same round, those seats will be allotted to students waiting for upward movement.
Supplementary counselling application
For the undergraduate architecture course (B.Arch.), 622 students in the general category and 40 students under the 7.5 percent reservation for government school students have received allotment orders in the counseling.
The final allotted seats for engineering students have been published transparently on the website www.tneaonline.org.
Students who have passed the Plus 2 supplementary examination and those who did not apply for the general counselling for BE, BTech, and BArch courses can apply from Aug. 17 to 31. Their supplementary counselling will be held from Sept. 3 to 7. He said this.
