Since the divorce case filed by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay’s wife, Sangeetha, was withdrawn, many reports have been circulating about it.
At the Chengalpattu Family Court, it was announced that the case had been closed after Chief Minister Vijay’s wife informed the court during last week’s hearing that she was withdrawing the divorce case she had filed.
Only after deciding that she could no longer live with her husband Vijay did she file for divorce. Then why this sudden decision? That remains an unanswered question so far.
It was widely discussed in the film industry that Sangeetha, who sought divorce due to some differences with Vijay, had mentioned in the divorce petition that Vijay had an extramarital relationship with an actress.
Similarly, some unverified reports emerged that Sangeetha had asked for a very large alimony amount and had said that Vijay should take responsibility for the children’s future. However, it was said that her husband’s side had come forward saying that they would take responsibility for the children themselves and reduce the alimony amount.
Meanwhile, the divorce petition itself has been withdrawn. Some say that reconciliation talks are underway between the two sides, and that because he is the chief minister, it may have been suggested that speaking publicly and getting a divorce could damage Vijay’s status. Others say that Sangeetha may have changed her decision with her children’s future in mind.
However, there will definitely be no issue related to money in this, because it is well known that even before marrying Vijay, Sangeetha came from a very wealthy family, and she married him only because she was in love with Vijay.
In fact, what could have been the reason for withdrawing the divorce petition? But no one said that the two would get back together and live as husband and wife. No information was provided either. Likewise, many are pointing out that the divorce petition had also stated that Vijay should be given the right to live in the house.
On the other hand, in the divorce petition, Sangeetha had said that there was an inappropriate relationship with an actress. Could she have withdrawn the divorce petition on the basis that if a divorce were granted, it might pave the way for them to legally marry? Questions are also being raised along those lines.
So, if this action was taken because, while a legal marriage relationship still existed, he could not marry that actress and might not be able to obtain the status of an official wife, then if that was the intention, why would he have filed for divorce in the first place? Another question also arises, doesn’t it?
Since no one has commented so far on the withdrawal of the divorce petition, the mystery remains as to what the truth actually is. If someone breaks the silence, the truth may come out. Otherwise, if the silence is prolonged in the name of privacy... it will remain an unanswered question.
