Portfolios have been allocated to the ministers in the cabinet headed by Puducherry Chief Minister N. Rangasamy.
In the legislative assembly election held in Puducherry, the National Democratic Alliance led by N. Rangasamy’s N.R. Congress won for the second consecutive time and retained power.
Following this, N. Rangasamy took oath as the Chief Minister of Puducherry on May 13. However, it is said that differences of opinion arose between Chief Minister Rangasamy and BJP leaders over the sharing of cabinet portfolios with the BJP, which is part of the alliance.
In this context, a complete list of the departments allotted to Chief Minister N. Rangasamy and the 5 ministers in Puducherry’s cabinet was released today (Aug. 5).
Chief Minister N. Rangasamy - Finance, Health and Family Welfare, Transport, Income Tax, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments, along with 12 departments and the departments not allotted to other ministers.
A. Namassivayam - Home, Animal Husbandry, Forest, Electricity, Education, and Law departments.
Malladi Krishna Rao - 6 departments including Public Works, Tourism, Fisheries, Ports, Industries and Commerce, and Labour.
P. Rajavelu - 6 departments including Adi Dravidar Welfare, Arts and Culture, Housing, Information Technology, and Economics.
V.P. Sivakolunthu - Public Distribution, Social Welfare, Backward Classes Welfare, Women and Child Welfare, and Minority Affairs departments.
G.N.S. Rajasekaran - 6 departments including Agriculture, Sports, and Rural Development.
