A consultative meeting of Members of Parliament has been arranged under the leadership of Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay regarding the constituency delimitation work proposed to be undertaken by the Central Government.
In this regard, the press release issued by the Tamil Nadu government states:
The Central Government is planning to redraw constituencies and has been taking steps for that purpose.
In this context, a consultative meeting of Members of Parliament from Tamil Nadu (Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha), under the leadership of Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay, regarding the constituency delimitation exercise proposed to be undertaken by the Central Government and the impacts it may have on Tamil Nadu, has been arranged to be held on Aug. 8 (Saturday) at 3 p.m. in the conference hall (3rd floor) of Kalaivanar Arangam, Chepauk, Chennai.
It has been stated that invitations for this meeting are being sent through the Tamil Nadu House in New Delhi to all Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members from Tamil Nadu.
