Passengers were injured after a flight from Thailand to Delhi was jolted midair due to bad weather.
Air India flight AI2379, which was on its way from Phuket in Thailand to Delhi airport on Tuesday morning, suddenly encountered turbulence midair due to bad weather.
As a result, before landing, the Air India flight lost altitude. However, the pilots landed the aircraft safely.
As soon as the Air India flight landed at Delhi airport, the injured passengers and airline staff were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Initial reports indicate that 10 passengers and 2 airline staff members were injured in this incident.
Regarding this, an Air India spokesperson said:
“The AI2379 flight from Phuket to Delhi on August 4 experienced turbulence due to bad weather. As a result, it lost altitude. However, the aircraft landed safely in Delhi.
All passengers and airline staff were safely evacuated. No one has suffered serious injuries so far. Passengers with minor injuries were taken to the airport medical center for examination and treatment.
We are providing all necessary assistance to the affected passengers. We are extending full cooperation to the concerned authorities in the investigation related to this,” he said.
