The fifth day of the Legislative Assembly’s budget session was held today. Here are some interesting incidents that took place in the House, including C.V. Shanmugam storming out in anger and Premalatha turning affectionate.

The incident in which Bhojarajan, the BJP’s lone MLA in the House, said he was “walking out,” went outside, made himself a cup of tea, and came back created a buzz in the Assembly. Bhojarajan spoke against the NEET resolution and said he was going to walk out.
Usually, those who say they are staging a walkout come out and meet the journalists waiting outside the House at Gate 4. After finishing the press meet, they go into the House after a short while. As soon as Bojarajan said he was walking out, the journalists and cameramen hurriedly got ready for him. But Bojarajan came out of the House for just 5 minutes, had tea, and then went back inside the House.

The Speaker was surprised to see such a swift walkout. “You’ve finished your walkout and come back. Has anything changed now in the decision...” the Speaker commented, and the House burst into laughter. The journalists who had been waiting for Bhojarajan to come out were the ones left disappointed.
C.V. Shanmugam is still in an anti-Edappadi Palaniswami mood. Even yesterday, he had spoken harshly against Edappadi outside the House. Today too, C.V. Shanmugam had come to the House. Edappadi was scheduled to speak in the budget debate today. Edappadi also arrived at the House a little late. C.V. Shanmugam, who had been inside the House all that time, suddenly left the House and walked out just as Edappadi was about to speak next.
Today in the Assembly, both Chief Minister Vijay and Opposition Leader Udhayanidhi arrived late. The Chief Minister came to the Assembly after attending a drug-abuse awareness event at the State College. Since it was already known in advance that the Chief Minister would arrive late and that the resolutions would be passed only late, Opposition Leader Udhayanidhi also came to the Assembly late.

Whenever Premalatha rises to speak in the House, instead of addressing the Speaker as the Chairperson of the Assembly, she turns affectionate and says, “Okay brother... all right brother...” Even during the Meghadatu resolution, and even today during the NEET resolution, she addressed him only as “brother... brother.” Premalatha, who immediately caught herself, corrected it by saying, “Sorry, Chairperson...” and continued speaking.
Kanimozhi, the TVK MLA from the Coimbatore North constituency, who often trends on the internet, spoke in the House for the first time today. Beginning by saying this was her maiden speech, Kanimozhi said, “In the hearts of the people, as a beautiful Tamil son
If there is a threat to women’s safety, he will go into “beast” mode..
For those who tease women, as a "hunter" too
And for women, as a "guardian" too—she sang in verse using the titles of Vijay’s films. In a minute, one couldn’t help wondering: is this the legislative assembly... or an audio launch stage?

Since two resolutions were passed and the budget debate was also held, the proceedings today lasted more than 7 hours. “I’m a sugar patient...” some MLAs even dozed off right there in the House.
