In this Saint Louis chess tournament, which is part of the Grand Chess Tour schedule, Praggnanandhaa had been leading at the end of the rapid section.
Later, the blitz section games were played at midnight on Wednesday, Indian time. In those games, Praggnanandhaa defeated Germany’s Vincent Keymer, the Netherlands’ Jorden van Foreest, and the United States’ Linar Dominguez Perez.
He drew with American Awonder Liang, Levon Aronian, Wesley So, Fabiano Caruana, Uzbekistan’s Javokhir Sindarov, and the Netherlands’ Anish Giri.
