Condemning the theft of donations from the Ayodhya Ram temple, opposition MPs staged a drama and carried out a novel protest in the Parliament complex.
During the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela held in January-February last year, more than 10 lakh devotees worshipped at the Ram temple every day. At that time, allegations arose that irregularities had taken place in the offerings and donations given by devotees, including gold, silver, and cash.
In connection with this, a case was registered and eight people engaged in donation work at the Ram temple were arrested. In the controversial situation, the then general secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Sampath Rai, and trustee Anil Mishra resigned from their posts.
Meanwhile, opposition MPs have been staging an ongoing protest in the Parliament complex, condemning the state BJP government over the donation theft issue.
This morning, during the opposition’s protest in the Parliament complex, a drama was staged regarding the theft at the Ayodhya Ram temple. Rahul Gandhi and others also took part in it.
Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge, Priyanka Gandhi, and MPs from the INDIA alliance parties took part in this protest.
In addition, the MPs were also holding placards in protest against Home Minister Amit Shah not coming to Parliament.
