"The United States is fully prepared, with military strength and authority on a scale the world has never seen since the Second World War, to attack the Islamic Republic of Iran.
I have agreed to cancel this attack because Iran and the countries of the Middle East requested it."
- This was the post released by U.S. President Trump last Sunday (August 2).
At the time, he said that talks were under way between the two countries.
Iran Rejects It
However, Iran completely denied his statement and spoke yesterday (August 3).

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said, "At present, Iran is not in any negotiations with Washington.
"We are currently negotiating only with Oman for safe shipping in the Strait of Hormuz," he said.
Trump post
In response, Trump has posted on his Truth account...
"It is impossible to believe the double-faced behavior of the Iranian leadership.
Deceptive talk...
They are the ones asking for negotiations. Some would even say they are 'begging' for them.
The talks have begun, and time is being set aside for the next meetings as well.
But outwardly, they proudly and publicly say, 'We are not engaged in any negotiations, nor are we talking about anything. We are only talking to Oman.'
Not stopping there, they continue their usual absurd talk, saying, 'The Strait of Hormuz will operate under our control.'

We are finding a solution to the problem
In fact, it is already under the complete control of the U.S. Navy, and under our 'strategic blockade' or, as some say, 'America's steel wall.'
Nothing can enter Iran unless we want it to. Nothing is going in until either a peaceful agreement is reached or they surrender completely.
Whether Iran wants to admit it or not, we are now talking about finding a solution to a problem that they themselves created over decades.
The matter is very simple: Iran must never be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons!"
