Chennai: Famous music composer A.R. Rahman’s son A.R. Ameen was involved in an accident while traveling in a car with his friend. Both friends sustained minor injuries in the accident.
A.R. Ameen (23), the son of famous music composer A.R. Rahman, is active in the film industry as a singer. In this situation, Ameen was traveling today in a luxury car with his friend Bhargav (24), a resident of Gopalapuram, Chennai. It is said that Bhargav, who is studying engineering in the United States, was driving the car.
They were traveling from Koyambedu toward Guindy and, at around 3:30 a.m., reached the Guindy Jawaharlal Nehru 100 Feet Road near the Olympia signal. At that time, a call taxi coming from Nandambakkam toward Guindy unexpectedly collided with the car driven by Ameen.
Both cars were damaged in the accident. Ameen and his friend, who were in the car, sustained minor injuries. Rajak Ali (28) from Tripura, who was driving the call taxi, and Venkatesan (30) from Saidapet, who was traveling in it, were also injured.
Foot taxi driver Razak Ali and passenger Venkatesan were taken to Kalaignar Centenary Hospital for treatment. After receiving first aid there, both returned home. Ameen and his friend Bark also went to a private hospital, received treatment, and returned home.
Earlier, it is said that as soon as the accident occurred, the doors of the luxury car in which Ameen was traveling were immediately locked. This made it difficult to move the car from the spot. On receiving the information, the police used a crane to recover and remove the car involved in the accident. Regarding this accident, the Adyar Traffic Investigation Unit police have registered a case and are investigating.
