The Iranian government has announced that 21 Israeli spies who gathered information about the Iranian military have been arrested.
In Kerman, a southeastern province of Iran, 21 members of a mercenary group that had been operating for the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad were arrested by local authorities.
Following this, it has been reported that the 21 arrested individuals collected information about the Iranian military and sent it to Mossad agents.
Already, in the wars between Israel and Iran, Iranian top military commanders, leaders, and scientists were killed in attacks carried out by Israeli forces based on intelligence information about Iranian infrastructure.
As a result, the Iranian government had been tightening the punishment given to spies arrested in that country and carrying out the death penalty immediately.
However, no official information has yet been released regarding the punishment for the Israeli spies who have now been arrested.
It is noteworthy that the United Nations Human Rights Commission has announced that since January 2026, the death penalty has been carried out on 52 people in Iran.
