In the Tamil Nadu Police Department, 2,036 police personnel were transferred statewide in a single day, and the Director General of Police, Mahesh Kumar Agarwal, issued the order on Monday.
In this, personnel serving in the posts of special sub-inspectors, head constables, first-grade constables, and constables have been transferred. This transfer order has been issued at the state level. This is because district-level transfers are ordered by SPs, range-level transfers by DIGs, and zonal-level transfers by IGs. However, since this transfer has been made at the state level, the Director General of Police of Tamil Nadu, Mahesh Kumar Agarwal, has issued the order.
According to this order, those who have been transferred by August 9 should be relieved from the responsibilities they are already holding, he has instructed the officials.
If the concerned police officer cannot be relieved from duty by August 9, the officials must inform the DGP office of the reason by August 9, Maheshkumar Agarwal has stated in the order.
