After the results of the five state elections, a consultative meeting of the Congress-led 'India' alliance parties is set to be held in Delhi on June 8. It was said that a total of 15 parties, including the DMK, Trinamool Congress, Samajwadi Party, Shiv Sena (UBT), and the Left parties, are likely to take part in this meeting. After the Tamil Nadu Assembly election, the Congress party suddenly moved toward the TVK side, and it was expected that there would be difficulties for the DMK to remain in the 'India' alliance.

As far as the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam is concerned, it has stood courageously from the very beginning as the first political movement to oppose everything against democracy, secularism, and state rights — including the NEET exam, constituency delimitation, the hurriedly imposed SIR during election time, the actions of the Election Commission, One Nation - One Election, the Waqf Act, and the FCRA amendment. It has taken up those measures democratically in Parliament, in the Legislative Assembly when it was in power, in public forums, and, at the appropriate time, in courts as well, arguing and fighting against them.
Since the formation of the “India” alliance, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam has functioned as the alliance’s central force. Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leader Mr. M.K. Stalin has been the one consistently raising the foremost voice on key issues concerning the people of the nation. The parties in the India alliance and their leaders are well aware of this.
Following the legislative assembly general election held in Tamil Nadu, in order to respect the sentiments of the party comrades who have been deeply hurt by the betrayal committed by the Congress party against the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam will not participate in the “India” alliance meeting to be held in Delhi on June 8, that is, the meeting in which Congress will participate.
It has been stated that while not participating in this meeting, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam will always raise its voice on issues affecting the welfare of the nation that are put forward by the other parties included in this meeting."

தமிழ்நாட்டில் நடைபெற்ற சட்டமன்றப் பொதுத்தேர்தலுக்குப் பின், காங்கிரஸ் கட்சி, திராவிட முன்னேற்றக் கழகத்திற்கு இழைத்த துரோகத்தினால் மிகுந்த மனக்காயமுற்றிருக்கும் கழகத் தோழர்களின் உணர்வுகளுக்கு மதிப்பளிக்கின்ற வகையில், வருகின்ற ஜூன் 8-ஆம் தேதி டெல்லியில் நடைபெறும் “இந்தியா” கூட்டணிக் கூட்டத்தில், அதாவது காங்கிரஸ் பங்கேற்கும் கூட்டத்தில் திராவிட முன்னேற்றக் கழகம் பங்கேற்காது.
