Before the consultation meeting of INDIA alliance parties held in Delhi, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi leader Thirumavalavan gave an interview to a private news agency.
In that interview, ``The decision taken by the DMK and Aam Aadmi Party to boycott the meeting of INDIA alliance leaders held in Delhi today is worrying.
Within just a few days after the results of the recently concluded assembly elections were announced, the Congress expressed support for the TVK to form a government in Tamil Nadu. Congress’s this unilateral decision has caused great shock and distress to the DMK.
That is why the DMK has boycotted today’s ‘India alliance’ meeting.
However, I welcome DMK leader M.K. Stalin’s announcement that we will continue to work with the ‘India alliance’ in the future against Hindutva politics. The Congress cannot unilaterally invite the TVK without consulting the other allied parties in the alliance.
If the senior leaders of the ‘India’ alliance decide in the future to bring T.V.K. into the alliance, V.C.K. will wholeheartedly welcome it. If Stalin has said that the new T.V.K. government formed in Tamil Nadu will collapse within the next 3 months, that may be his personal assumption.
But I do not think so. Moreover, since all the parties in the DMK alliance, including Congress, CPI, CPM, and the Indian Union Muslim League, have supported the formation of a T.V.K. government and its continued stability, this government will complete its full five-year term.
At present, there is no secular alliance in Tamil Nadu under the leadership of the DMK; all parties, including the VCK, Congress, Left parties, and IUML, have withdrawn from the DMK alliance. Only the DMK now stands alone. These developments show that the political landscape in Tamil Nadu is moving toward a new direction," he said.

இதன் காரணமாகவே இன்றைய ‘இந்தியாக் கூட்டணி ‘கூட்டத்தை தி.மு.க புறக்கணித்துள்ளது.
இருப்பினும், ‘இந்தியாக் கூட்டணி’யுடன் இணைந்து வருங்காலத்தில் இந்துத்துவ அரசியலுக்கு எதிராகத் தொடர்ந்து செயல்படுவோம் என தி.மு.க தலைவர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் அறிவித்திருப்பதை வரவேற்கிறேன். கூட்டணியில் உள்ள மற்ற தோழமைக் கட்சிகளுடன் கலந்தாலோசிக்காமல் காங்கிரஸால் தன்னிச்சையாக த.வெ.க-வை அழைக்க முடியாது.
‘இந்தியா’ கூட்டணியின் மூத்த தலைவர்கள் எதிர்காலத்தில் த.வெ.க-வை கூட்டணியில் இணைக்க முடிவு செய்தால், அதை வி.சி.க முழுமனதோடு வரவேற்கும். தமிழகத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள புதிய த.வெ.க அரசு இன்னும் 3 மாதங்களில் கவிழ்ந்துவிடும் என ஸ்டாலின் பேசியிருக்கிறார் என்றால் அது அவரின் தனிப்பட்ட அனுமானமாக இருக்கலாம்.
ஆனால், அப்படி நான் கருதவில்லை. மேலும், தி.மு.க கூட்டணியில் இருந்த காங்கிரஸ், சி.பி.ஐ, சி.பி.எம், இந்திய யூனியன் முஸ்லிம் லீக் உள்ளிட்ட அனைத்துக் கட்சிகளும் த.வெ.க அரசு அமையவும், அது ஸ்திரத்தன்மையுடன் நீடிக்கவும் ஆதரவு அளித்துள்ளதால், இந்த அரசு தனது ஐந்தாண்டு காலத்தை முழுமையாக நிறைவு செய்யும்.
தற்போது தமிழகத்தில் திமுக தலைமையில் எந்தவொரு மதச்சார்பற்ற கூட்டணியும் இல்லை; விசிக, காங்கிரஸ், இடதுசாரிகள், ஐயுஎம்எல் என அனைத்துக் கட்சிகளும் தி.மு.க கூட்டணியில் இருந்து வெளியேறிவிட்டன. தி.மு.க மட்டுமே தற்போது தனித்து நிற்கிறது. தமிழக அரசியல் களம் புதியதொரு திசையை நோக்கி நகர்வதையே இந்த நிகழ்வுகள் காட்டுகின்றன” என்றார்.
