Election: The heartbeat of democracy pulsating in the heart of the nation is "election." We consider it a sacred act that unites the people's choice, voice, and dream at a higher level. Every person standing in the front row at the polling booth is sketching the future of a nation with the tip of their finger. Every five years, a poignant moment arises in our society: "voting." A single vote holds the power to change the course of a government. A finger becomes a symbol calling for the direction of a generation to turn. The fingers extended on election day are not just fingers marked with ink; they are the voice of a village, the struggle of a woman, the dream of a student, the hope of a worker, the self-confidence of a nation, the integrity of a country, the self-respect of a community, the complete identity of a citizen.
My experience: I have witnessed many elections in my life. Elderly people standing in line at the polling station, mothers carrying children in their arms, young people excited to cast their first vote. They all conveyed one thing clearly: voting is not an ordinary act. It is a sacred moment for the people, combining emotion, determination, and rights. A finger marked with ink is a symbol of voices that have supported this country for decades.
My observation: My personal attention and the studies I have read about elections make one thing clear. It is not the promises of political parties, but the policies aimed at the upliftment of the people that determine a country's development. A voter should primarily evaluate not who spoke the most, but who did the most. Policies related to social welfare, education, healthcare, women's safety, and employment are what truly change a citizen's life. An election is not a one-day event, nor just a two-week campaign. The duty that comes for 5 years is not just a responsibility; it is a democratic treasure that unleashes the power of the people. Whoever we elect, one thing must never be forgotten: "Good governance is created by good voters."

தேர்தல் : தேசத்தின் நெஞ்சில் துடிக்கும் ஜனநாயக இதயத்துடிப்பே “தேர்தல்”. மக்கள் விருப்பம், மக்கள் குரல், மக்கள் கனவு ஆகிய மூன்றையும் ஒன்றுபடுத்தி உயர்ந்த இடத்தில் நிற்கும் புனிதமான செயல்பாடாக அதை நாம் கருதுகிறோம். வாக்குச்சாவடி முன் வரிசையில் நிற்கும் ஒவ்வொருவரும்,தங்கள் விரலின் நுனியில் ஒரு தேசத்தின் எதிர்காலத்தை வரைகிறார்கள்.
ஒவ்வொரு ஐந்து ஆண்டுகளிலும் ஒரு வருத்தமான கணம் நமது சமூகத்தில் தோன்றுகிறது “வாக்குப்பதிவு”.
ஒரே ஒரு வாக்கு, ஒரு அரசின் பாதையை மாற்றும் சக்திக் கொண்டது. ஒரு விரல், ஒரு தலைமுறையின் திசை திரும்பும் அழைப்பு சின்னமாகிறது. தேர்தல் நாளில் நீட்டப்படும் விரல்கள், வெறும் மை தடவப்பட்ட விரல்கள் அல்ல; அவை ஒரு கிராமத்தின் குரல்,ஒரு பெண்மணியின் போராட்டம், ஒரு மாணவரின் கனவு, ஒரு தொழிலாளியின் நம்பிக்கை, ஒரு தேசத்தின் தன்னம்பிக்கை, ஒரு நாட்டின் ஒழுக்கம், ஒரு சமூகத்தின் சுய மதிப்பு, ஒரு குடிமகனின் முழுமையான அடையாளம்.
என் அனுபவம்:
என் வாழ்க்கையில் பல தேர்தல்களை பார்த்திருக்கிறேன். வாக்குச்சாவடியில் வரிசையில் நிற்கும் முதியவர்கள், குழந்தையைக் கையில் தூக்கி வரும் தாய்மார்கள், முதல் வாக்கு போட வருவதாக உற்சாகம் காட்டும் இளைஞர்கள். அனைவரும் ஒரு விஷயத்தை எளிதாக உணர்த்தினார். வாக்கு என்பது சாதாரண நடவடிக்கை அல்ல, அது உணர்ச்சியும்,உறுதியும்,உரிமையும் கலந்து மக்களின் புனித தருணம். ஒரு மை தடவப்பட்ட விரல் பல தசாப்தங்களாக இந்த நாட்டை தாங்கும் குரல்களின் சின்னம்.
என் ஆய்வு:
தேர்தல் குறித்து என் தனிப்பட்ட கவனிப்புகள் மற்றும் வாசித்த ஆய்வுகள் கூறுவது தெளிவான ஒன்று. அரசியல் கட்சிகளின் வாக்குறுதிகளை விட, மக்கள் உயர்வை நோக்கியே கொள்கைதான் ஒரு நாட்டின் வளர்ச்சியை நிர்ணயிக்கிறது.
ஒரு வாக்காளர் முக்கியமாக மதிப்பிட வேண்டியது- யார் அதிகமாக பேசினார் என்பதை அல்ல:யார் அதிகமாக செய்தார் என்பதைத் தான்.
சமூகநலம்,கல்வி, சுகாதாரம், பெண்கள் பாதுகாப்பு, வேலைவாய்ப்பு.இவற்றைத் தொடும் கொள்கைகளே உண்மையில் ஒரு குடிமகனின் வாழ்வை மாற்றும்.
தேர்தல் என்பது ஒரு நாள் நிகழ்ச்சி அல்ல, 2 வார பிரச்சாரம் அல்ல, 5 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு வரும் கடமையும் அல்ல; அது மக்கள் ஆற்றலை வெளிப்படுத்தும் ஜனநாயகப் பொக்கிஷம் நாம் யாரைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தாலும்,ஒரே ஒரு விஷயம் மறக்கக்கூடாது.”நல்ல அரசை உருவாக்குவது நல்ல வாக்காளர்கள் தான்”.
வாக்காளர் பார்வை:
தேர்தல் காலத்தில் மலர்கின்ற வாக்குறுதிகள், உண்மையில் சமூகத்தின் உற்பத்தித் திறனையும், பொருளாதார வளத்தையும், சமத்துவமான வளர்ச்சியையும் உயர்த்தும் வல்லமை கொண்டதா? என்று ஒரு வாக்காளர் ஆராய வேண்டும்.ஒரு நல்ல வாக்காளர் என்பது உணர்ச்சியை விட உண்மை பார்க்கக் கூடியவர். பெயரை விட பணியை மதிப்பவர்.சொல் அல்ல செயலை செவிமடுக்கிறவர்.தம் வீட்டை மட்டும் அல்ல சமூகத்தையும் சிந்திப்பவர்.
தேர்தல் என்றாலே அரசியல் கட்சிகள் தரப்பில் பல வாக்குறுதிகள், கோஷங்கள்,சுருக்கமான திட்டங்கள்,வெற்றியைக் குறிவைக்கும் உத்திகள் அனைத்தும் வானில் மின்னும் நீராவி போல நம் கண்முன் மிதக்கத் தொடங்குகின்றன.ஆனால் அவர்களின் சொற்கள், அவர்களின் செயல்களில் பிரதிபலிப்புக்கு சமமா? அரசியல் ஆளுமை என்பது ஒரு பதவி அல்ல;அது ஒரு பொறுப்பு.
ஒரு குடிமகன் கேட்கும் மிக அடிப்படை கேள்வி.நான் உங்களுக்கு கொடுக்கும் இந்த ஒரு வாக்கு, எனது வாழ்க்கையில், எனது வீதியில்,எனது ஊரில் என்ன மாற்றத்தை கொண்டு வர போகிறது? ஒரு ஆளுமை மக்களின் நம்பிக்கையை சுமப்பவர் என்கிற அளவுக்கு உயர்வதற்கு,அவன் சொல்லும் சொல் தன் காலடியில் பல வருடங்களாக மக்கள் சந்தித்த கஷ்டங்களின் ஒலியை கேட்கக்கூடிய ஆழ்மனதைக் கொண்டிருக்க வேண்டும்.
