People will not tolerate hate politics in Tamil Nadu as they do in North India, and this has been made clear." Today, elections are being held again in 2 constituencies in West Bengal.

அவர் பேசியுள்ளதாவது…
“மதசார்பற்ற முற்போக்கு கூட்டணி மாபெரும் வெற்றியைப் பெறப்போகிறது. திமுக அரசின் மகளிர் மற்றும் மாணவர்களுக்கான திட்டங்கள், கூட்டணியின் கொள்கைப் பிடிப்பு, மற்றும் வன்முறை அரசியலுக்கு இடம் கொடுக்காத தன்மை ஆகியவை இதற்கு முக்கிய காரணங்களாகும்.

தற்காலிக ஆதாயத்திற்காக முடிவெடுத்துவிடக்கூடாது என்கிற எச்சரிக்கை உணர்வோடு நாம் செயல்பட்டோம். நாம் சராசரி அரசியல்வாதிகளைப் போலச் செயல்பட்டிருந்தால் தமிழக அரசியல் தலைகீழாக மாறி இருக்கும்.
தொகுதிப் பங்கீட்டின்போது இரட்டை இலக்க இடங்களைக் கோரினாலும், கூட்டணியின் நலன் கருதி நான் ஒரு முடிவெடுத்து ஒப்பந்தத்தில் கையெழுத்திட்டேன். இது ஏமாளித்தனம் அல்ல, நம்முடைய தொலைநோக்கு பார்வை மற்றும் கொள்கைப் பிடிப்பு ஆகும்.
