Many people are joining the movement started by former Tamil Nadu BJP leader Annamalai. Various office-bearers from the BJP are joining Annamalai’s movement.
Meanwhile, due to dissatisfaction with BJP state president Nainar Nagendran, several district leaders and district and union-level functionaries are preparing to move to Annamalai’s movement. They are leaving the BJP and, by conducting recruitment camps for Annamalai’s movement, are engaged in an effort to bring together the dissatisfied members within the BJP.
Pannai Vayal Ilango, a BJP functionary from Pannai Vayal near Pattukkottai in Thanjavur district, served as the district president of the BJP from 2016 to 2021 and is currently a member of the state executive committee. He is set to leave the party and join Annamalai’s movement.
Moreover, the fact that the dissatisfied former and current BJP district presidents, along with the person who has planned to meet Annamalai on the 14th, held consultations with his supporters has created a stir in BJP circles.

Due to the wrong guidance of party leaders, BJP leaders have created a very bad situation in which, in places where the BJP has no presence, they bought constituencies in the Assembly election and fielded candidates.
If the BJP and we continue to travel with them, the party will end up in a bad state. Out of a fear that Tamil Nadu cannot be saved, we are going to join Annamalai’s movement.
Tamil Nadu needs an alternative politics. Because of this, we are drawn to Annamalai’s ideology and are going to his movement. More than a thousand people are set to join in Thanjavur district. Apart from the BJP dhoti, I do not have any other dhoti.
I, who had been acting with a sense of conviction and purpose, have been led by those who guided the BJP to a point where I no longer wear that karai veshti. With anguish and a heavy heart, I and people like me are leaving.
Many district leaders across Tamil Nadu are ready to join Annamalai's movement. Soon, we will be in Chennai or even Madurai. For this, we will travel around, bring together those who are fond of Annamalai into this movement, and build it into a mighty force.
More than 15 former district presidents and some who are district presidents today have been speaking with me. Within a day or two, more than 50 former and current district presidents will join. We are going to meet Annamalai on the 14th,'' he said.

இதற்கிடையில், பா.ஜ.க மாநிலத்தலைவர் நயினார் நாகேந்திரன் மீதான அதிருப்தியால், பல்வேறு மாவட்ட தலைவர்கள், மாவட்ட, ஒன்றிய பொறுப்பாளர்கள் பலரும் அண்ணாமலை இயக்கத்திற்குச் செல்ல தயாராகி, பா.ஜ.க-வில் இருந்து விலகி, அண்ணாமலை இயக்கத்திற்கான ஆள்சேர்ப்பு முகாம் நடத்தி பா.ஜ.க-வில் உள்ள அதிருப்தியாளர்களை ஒன்றிணைக்கும் முயற்சியில் ஈடுப்பட்டு வருகின்றனர்.
தஞ்சாவூர் மாவட்டம் பட்டுக்கோட்டை அருகே உள்ள பண்ணைவயலைச் சேர்ந்தவர் பா.ஜ.க பிரமுகர் பண்ணைவயல் இளங்கோ. இவர் கடந்த 2016 முதல் 2021ம் ஆண்டு வரை பா.ஜ.க-வில் மாவட்ட தலைவராகவும், தற்போது மாநிலச் செயற்குழு உறுப்பினராகவும் உள்ள நிலையில், அக்கட்சியில் இருந்து விலகி அண்ணாமலை இயக்கத்தில் இணைய உள்ளார்.

அப்படிப்பட்ட ஒரு தலைவரை பா.ஜ.க புறந்தள்ளி, திராவிட சித்தாந்தத்தோடு பயணித்து வருகிறது. 2026 சட்டசபை தேர்தலில் பா.ஜ.க படுதோல்விக்கு, இன்றைக்கு பா.ஜ.க தலைவர்களைத் தவிர வேறு யாரும் இல்லை.
கட்சித் தலைவர்கள் தவறான வழிகாட்டுதலால், பா.ஜ.க இல்லாத இடத்தில், சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தலில், தொகுதியை வாங்கிக்கொண்டு வேட்பாளரை நிறுத்திய, மிகப்பெரிய ஒரு மோசமான நிலைக்கு, பா.ஜ.க-வில் உள்ள தலைவர்கள் உருவாக்கி விட்டார்கள்.
தொடர்ந்து இவர்களோடு பா.ஜ.க-வும், நாங்களும் பயணித்தால், மோசமான ஒரு நிலைக்கு கட்சி போய்விடும். தமிழகத்தைக் காப்பாற்ற முடியாத என்கிற ஒரு அச்சத்தினால், அண்ணாமலை இயக்கத்தில் சேர உள்ளோம்.
தமிகத்திற்கு ஒரு மாற்று அரசியல் தேவை. இதனால், அண்ணாமலையின் கொள்கை பிடித்து, அவரது இயக்கத்திற்குச் செல்கிறோம். தஞ்சாவூர் மாவட்டத்தில் ஆயிரத்திற்கும் மேற்பட்டோர் இணைய உள்ளனர். பா.ஜ.க வேட்டியைத் தவிர, என்னிடம் வேறு வேட்டி கிடையாது.
ஒரு கொள்கை பிடிப்போடு ஒரு சிந்தனையோடு செயல்பட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்த நான் அந்தக் கரை வேட்டியைக் கட்டாத நிலைக்கு பா.ஜ.க-வை வழிநடத்தியவர்கள் கொண்டு சென்று விட்டனர். மன வேதனையோடு, மன இருக்கத்தோடு நானும், என்னை போன்றவர்களும் செல்கிறோம்.
தமிழகம் முழுவதும் பல மாவட்ட தலைவர்கள் அண்ணாமலை இயக்கத்தில் இணைய தயாராக உள்ளனர். விரைவில், சென்னை அல்லது மதுரையில் கூட உள்ளோம். இதற்காகச் சுற்றுப்பயணம் செய்து, அண்ணாமலை மேல் உள்ள பிரியர்களை இந்த இயக்கத்திலே இணைத்து ஒரு மாபெரும் சக்தியாக உருவாக்குவோம்.
முன்னாள் மாவட்டத் தலைவர் 15க்கும் மேற்பட்டவர்களும், இன்றைக்கு மாவட்டத் தலைவராக உள்ள சிலரும், என்னிடம் பேசி வருகிறார்கள். ஓரிரு தினங்களில், 50க்கும் மேற்பட்ட முன்னாள், இன்னாள் மாவட்டத் தலைவர்கள் இணைய உள்ளனர். வரும் 14 ம் தேதி அண்ணாமலையைச் சந்திக்க உள்ளோம்” என்றார்.
