The 2nd session of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly was held today (June 19). A resolution was passed today against the Karnataka government over the Mekedatu issue.
As the debate on the motion of thanks to the Governor’s address began, the live broadcast of the Assembly was stopped. Strong criticism has arisen among opposition parties and political commentators over the suspension of the legislative assembly live stream.

முன்னதாக செய்தியாளர்களிடம் பேசிய செய்தித்துறை அமைச்சர் ராஜ்மோகன், கடந்த இரண்டு, மூன்று ஆண்டுகளாக முடக்கப்பட்டிருந்த சட்டப்பேரவை நேரலை மீண்டும் தொடரும் என்று உறுதியளித்திருந்தார்.
முதல்வர் கொடுத்த வாக்கைக் காப்பாற்றிவிட்டார் என்று அமைச்சர்கள் பெருமிதம் தெரிவித்த அடுத்த நாளே, விவாதம் தொடங்கியவுடன் நேரலை நிறுத்தப்பட்டுள்ள சம்பவத்திற்கு கடும் எதிர்ப்பு கிளம்பி உள்ளது. சட்டப்பேரவை நேரலை நிறுத்தப்பட்டதற்கு எதிர்க்கட்சிகள் மற்றும் அரசியல் விமர்சகர்கள் மத்தியில் கடும் விமர்சனங்கள் எழுந்துள்ளன.
