The Chennai High Court ordered the police to complete the inquiry into the land-grabbing complaint against the Deputy Secretary of the Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department and file the final investigation report within six months.
In a petition filed in the High Court by Muthukurusamy, a resident of Royapuram, Chennai, he stated that my friend and I jointly purchased a one-ground plot on Kummalamman Koil Street in the Thandaiyarpet area. We were running a paper-selling business on it. After my friend died, his wife and I entered into an agreement to divide and use the land. However, my friend’s wife, along with Esther Rani, the Deputy Secretary of the Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department, threatened the Chennai Corporation engineer and tried to seize the land that was in my possession using forged documents. I filed a complaint regarding this at the Kasimedu police station. He had requested that the complaint be investigated expeditiously and that the final investigation report be submitted to the court.
This case came up for hearing before Judge M. Nirmalkumar. Appearing for the petitioner, advocate M. Bhoopathi argued that the Deputy Secretary of the Adi Dravidar Welfare Department was misusing his authority and threatening the petitioner. Appearing for the government, Additional Public Prosecutor Arul Joseph Selvam said the investigation was nearing completion and that the final investigation report would be filed within 6 months.
After hearing arguments from both sides, the judge ordered that the inquiry into the petitioner’s complaint be completed and the final investigation report be filed within 6 months, and disposed of the case.

இந்த வழக்கு நீதிபதி எம்.நிா்மல்குமாா் முன் விசாரணைக்கு வந்தது. மனுதாரா் தரப்பில் ஆஜரான வழக்குரைஞா் எம்.பூபதி, ஆதிதிராவிட நலத்துறை துணைச் செயலா் தனது அதிகாரத்தை தவறாகப் பயன்படுத்தி மனுதாரரை மிரட்டுவதாக வாதிடப்பட்டது. அரசுத் தரப்பில் ஆஜரான கூடுதல் குற்றவியல் வழக்குரைஞா் அருள் ஜோசப் செல்வம், விசாரணை முடிவடையும் நிலையில் உள்ளது. 6 மாதங்களுக்குள் இறுதி விசாரணை அறிக்கை தாக்கல் செய்யப்படும் என தெரிவித்தாா்.
இருதரப்பு வாதங்களையும் கேட்ட நீதிபதி, மனுதாரா் புகாா் மீதான விசாரணையை முடித்து 6 மாதங்களுக்குள் இறுதி விசாரணை அறிக்கையை தாக்கல் செய்ய உத்தரவிட்டு, வழக்கை முடித்துவைத்தாா்.
