In the investigation related to the CMRL-Exalogic case, Pinarayi Vijayan’s daughter T. Veena appeared at the Enforcement Directorate office in Kochi.
Earlier, the Enforcement Directorate had issued a summons to Veena to appear on June 12. However, she informed them that she would not be able to appear that day due to ill health. In this situation, a summons was issued to appear on June 17 (today).
Following this, Veena appeared this morning at the Enforcement Directorate office in Kochi. In view of Veena’s arrival, heavy police security had been deployed outside the Enforcement Directorate office.
The Kerala High Court earlier this month allowed the Enforcement Directorate to continue its investigation into illegal financial transactions between Kerala-based Cochin Minerals and Rutile Ltd (CMRL) and Exalogic Solutions.
A bench comprising Justices A. Raja Vijayaraghavan and K.V. Jayakumar dismissed the appeal filed by CMRL against the single judge’s order permitting the Enforcement Directorate’s investigation.
This case is being investigated regarding allegations of money laundering and irregular financial transactions between organizations associated with Exalogic Solutions, a company owned by the daughter of former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, and CMRL.
