Chennai: Stating that religious reservation is against the Constitution, the Hindu Munnani has urged Chief Minister Vijay to clarify his stand on Minister Shajahan’s remarks regarding reservation for Muslims.
In this regard, in a statement issued by Hindu Munnani state president Kaadeswara C. Subramaniam, “Since the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam is functioning as a minority government, a suspicion arises whether its alliance parties are acting as they please and trying to put Chief Minister Joseph Vijay in an awkward situation.
It has been reported that Shahjahan, an MLA of the Indian Union Muslim League party and a Tamil Nadu minister, said the cabinet is considering providing reservation for Muslims. This is an act that insults the revered legal luminary, Annal Ambedkar.
The Constitution of India clearly states that reservation is for social justice. It should not be done on the basis of religion. It has clearly stated that reservation should not be politicized.
Moreover, the High Courts of various states have also stayed the bills of state governments that unlawfully announced reservations for Muslims. The Supreme Court too has issued an order banning such religion-based reservations.
It was this very Muslim League that, on the pretext that Muslims and Hindus cannot live together, was responsible for dividing India and creating the Muslim countries of Pakistan and Bangladesh.
The people must understand that the Indian Muslim League is merely the remnant of that, now trying once again to create religious division in our country.
Minister Shahjahan’s claim that reservation for Muslims is under the government’s consideration is only meant to trap Chief Minister Joseph Vijay in a communal snare. Through this, the Muslim League is hatching a conspiracy to convert poor and ordinary Hindus.
People should understand that if reservation is introduced, it would amount to tampering with the privileges of Hindus. Hindus will not stand by and watch Christians and Muslims, who receive numerous government benefits under the guise of being minorities, dare to betray Hindus more and more.
Do not create a situation where backward and scheduled communities are forced to fight against them. The Tamil Nadu government must respect the sentiments and rights of Hindus.
If what Minister Shahjahan said is true, then Hindu Munnani will unite Hindus for the sake of Hindus and fight to protect the rights of Hindus. It will also come forward to secure lawful justice through the courts.
Therefore, on behalf of Hindu Munnani, we request the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister to publicly state his government’s position on the reservation concession for Muslims mentioned by Minister Shahjahan,” he said.

சென்னை: மத ரீதியிலான இட ஒதுக்கீடு அரசியல் சாசனத்திற்கு எதிரானது என தெரிவித்துள்ள இந்து முன்னணி, முஸ்லிம்களுக்கான இட ஒதுக்கீடு குறித்த அமைச்சர் ஷாஜகானின் கருத்து குறித்து முதல்வர் விஜய் தனது நிலைப்பாட்டை தெளிவுபடுத்த வேண்டும் என்று வலியுறுத்தியுள்ளது.

இட ஒதுக்கீடு சமூக நீதிக்கானது என்று இந்திய திருநாட்டின் அரசியல் சாசனம் தெளிவாகக் கூறியுள்ளது. இதனை மதத்தின் அடிப்படையில் செய்யக்கூடாது. இட ஒதுக்கீடு என்பதை அரசியலாக்கக் கூடாது என்று தெளிவாக தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

இஸ்லாமியர்களும் இந்துக்களும் இணைந்து வாழ முடியாது என்று காரணம் காட்டி இந்தியாவை துண்டாக்கி பாகிஸ்தான், பங்களாதேஷ் என்ற முஸ்லிம் நாடுகள் உருவாக காரணமே இந்த முஸ்லிம் லீக் தான்.
அதன் மிச்சம் தான் நமது நாட்டில் மீண்டும் மத ரீதியான பிரிவினையை உருவாக்கிட முயற்சிக்கும் இந்திய முஸ்லிம் லீக் என்பதை மக்கள் புரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும்.
முஸ்லிம்களுக்கு இட ஒதுக்கீடு அரசின் பரிசீலனையில் உள்ளது என்று அமைச்சர் ஷாஜகான் கூறுவது முதல்வர் ஜோசப் விஜய்யை மதவாத பொறியில் சிக்க வைக்கத் தான். இதன் மூலம் ஏழை எளிய இந்துக்களை மதம் மாற்ற சதி செய்கிறது முஸ்லிம் லீக்.
இட ஒதுக்கீடு செய்வதானால் அது இந்துக்களின் சலுகைகளில் கை வைப்பதாக அமையும் என்பதை மக்கள் புரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும். சிறுபான்மையினர் என்ற போர்வையில் ஏராளமான அரசு உதவிகளை பெறும் கிறிஸ்தவ, முஸ்லிம்கள், மேலும் மேலும் இந்துக்களுக்கு துரோகம் செய்யத் துணிவதை இந்துக்கள் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்க மாட்டார்கள்.

அமைச்சர் ஷாஜகான் கூறியது உண்மையானல், இந்துக்களுக்காக இந்துக்களை ஒருங்கிணைத்து இந்து முன்னணி போராடி இந்துக்களின் உரிமைகளை பாதுகாக்க முன் வரும். நீதிமன்றம் மூலம் சட்டப்படியான நீதியை பெற்றுத் தரவும் முன்வரும்.
எனவே தமிழக முதல்வர், அமைச்சர் ஷாஜகான் கூறிய முஸ்லிம்களுக்கு இட ஒதுக்கீடு சலுகை குறித்த தனது அரசின் நிலைப்பாட்டை பகிரங்கமாக தெரிவிக்க வேண்டும் என்று இந்து முன்னணி சார்பில் கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறோம்” என தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
