Officials said that Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee appeared before the Enforcement Directorate on June 15 (today) in connection with the primary school recruitment scam case.
Following a summons issued in the money laundering investigation related to irregularities in the appointment of primary school teachers, Abhishek Banerjee arrived at the Enforcement Directorate’s CGO Complex office around 11 a.m. today.

Investigators will record Abhishek Banerjee’s statement and question him using financial documents, digital records, and the statements of the accused to trace the income allegedly obtained through fraud.
We will examine who handled the funds, the accounts they were kept in, how they were transferred between companies, and whether they were layered in multiple stages to conceal the source of these transactions.
The investigative agency will also seek explanations for the discrepancies found between earlier submissions and the new evidence recovered during the searches.
The investigation also includes the intermediaries identified during the forensic analysis and the role of the beneficiary companies. He said this.
