The 144th meeting of the 'Veedhi' Art and Literary Forum, which promotes discussions on literature, writing, and cinema in Pudukkottai, had been planned. It was announced that the documentary film 'Thirupparankundram Files' (Thirupparankundram Files), directed by Thavam and Tamizhthasan, would be screened at the event.
It is said that the intelligence department and the police exerted severe pressure on the hall owner not to screen the film at the originally planned venue. As a result, the organizers changed the event location to the Pudukkottai Science Movement meeting hall.
However, the police force that rushed to the new venue issued a stern order, saying, “Orders from above... this documentary must not be screened.” Shocked by this sudden ban, the organizers and filmmakers argued with the police. Following the police’s strong opposition, the screening of the documentary was avoided. In the end, the event concluded as a platform for sharing views about the documentary and as a protest meeting.
The question of why the police should be so strict about a documentary that has already been watched by thousands on YouTube and speaks of religious harmony has arisen across the state.
In a democratic country, the ban on screening a documentary created to strengthen religious harmony under a government that has accepted Ambedkar and Periyar as ideological leaders has caused outrage among political activists, writers, and journalists.
In a condemnation statement issued in this regard, the Tamil Nadu Digital Journalists Association said, ``In response to the threat to communal harmony in the present times, journalist ‘Arakkalam’ Thavam, along with Mr. Tamildasan, produced and directed the documentary “Thiruparankundram Files,” which emphasizes communal harmony, and it was released and screened at the Four Frames auditorium in Chennai last February. At that time, many people including senior journalists, political leaders, movement activists, and film artists participated. Following this, a few more screenings were also held.
The Thirupparankundram Files documentary, which was praised by all sections, was scheduled to be screened in Pudukottai today (31 May) by the Veedhi Kalai Ilakkiya Kalam organization. However, police who came to the private hall where the event was to take place stopped it from being held. To avoid trouble for the hall owners, the event was also moved to the Tamil Nadu Science Movement hall. While screening arrangements were underway at the Tamil Nadu Science Movement hall, police suddenly arrived there as well. Saying, “It cannot be screened... orders from above,” they stopped the event.
“This is already a released film. This documentary has been released on the Cheral channel on YouTube and has been watched by more than 60,000 people. This is not some secret operation. If you want, you can sit and watch it too,” the organizers tried saying this many times. But the police did not listen. In the end, the documentary screening was canceled.
Since February 2026, until the election, this documentary has been privately screened multiple times. No issues have arisen. They have also refused to provide a written reason for why the screening should not be held. What did the police mean by saying, “Please understand, sir, it’s an order from above”? The Tamil Nadu Digital Journalists Association strongly condemns this excessive and lawless abuse of power by the police.
Protecting secularism is a duty enshrined in the Constitution of India. Speaking a viewpoint based on that is a right granted by the Constitution. The Tamil Nadu Police has imposed restrictions on this right and duty. The Tamil Nadu government must immediately clarify this matter. We are receiving complaints from various quarters that such incidents are being continuously prevented.
What is the Tamil Nadu government's response to this?
When a few people gather in a private hall to hold an event, there is no need to seek permission from anyone other than the hall owner. But who sent the police to stop it? What was the reason behind entering the hall in an arbitrary manner and preventing it without giving this refusal in writing? The Tamil Nadu government must immediately provide an explanation for this," it states.
In this context, Thavam, the director of the documentary Thirupparankundram Files, who spoke to us, said, “There are no tensions, problems, or misunderstandings among the people of Thirupparankundram. They live very naturally. But it is the Sangh Parivar organizations and the BJP alone, not the local public, who are blowing it up for political gain.
For this documentary, we traveled in person to many villages around Madurai and recorded the true conditions of the people there. This film primarily speaks about how there is no division in people’s faith in God. Rather than presenting this as mere propaganda, we have also recorded what those with opposing views think, as well as the responses given by the general public. I would like to emphasize once again that this is a film that is one hundred percent focused on promoting religious harmony.
On the police side, as soon as they see the title 'Thiruparankundram Files,' they mistakenly assume it is some controversial film. The main purpose of this documentary is to emphasize that Hindus and Muslims should live in harmony. We were firm that politics should not be mixed into it. That is why equal space has been given to all sides of the issue, including the views of intellectuals and neutral observers, the realistic perspectives of the public, and interviews with Solai Kannan, who holds an opposing view, and BJP general secretary Rama Srinivasan.
In this context, the newly elected ruling T.V.K. government in Tamil Nadu is projecting Periyar and Ambedkar as its ideological leaders. But their current actions are deeply contradictory. It is shocking that a government that speaks of religious harmony would impose a blanket ban on this film, citing “orders from above.” If there are “orders from above,” then who exactly is that above authority? If this is a secular film, shouldn’t a government with secular principles welcome and celebrate it? Instead, why is this film being blocked?
Is this government operating with one policy and another in practice? Or is it acting this way under pressure from Sangh Parivar organizations like the BJP and RSS? Such questions naturally arise. Writers, intellectuals, journalists, and especially the Digital Journalism Journalists’ Association have condemned this and are recording and sharing their protests on social media. This shows the contradiction between the government’s words and actions.
We also plan to screen this film in Madurai in the next few days. If the government side creates any obstruction or pressure there as well, we will take this forward as a major protest by bringing together the public and social organizations.

He has firmly voiced his condemnation, saying that it can never be acceptable for a government led by the T.V.K., which speaks of Periyarism and Ambedkarism, to ban a film made with the aim that everyone should live in unity, without caste or religious differences, as one flesh and blood."
Regarding this, we spoke with poet Muthu Nilavan, vice president of the Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers and Artists Association (TAMUESA) and event coordinator. He said, ``The police who stopped the screening said it was a "higher-up order." The police did not provide any written prohibition order explaining why the documentary should not be screened.
To hold this event, they only said, "Get permission and then conduct it." Since we did not want to create unnecessary arguments with the police or cause any law-and-order problem, we took an alternative route.
This documentary, in artistic form, performs the very duty of the police force in safeguarding public unity. The Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers and Artists Association state committee believes there should be no obstacle to screening it as a stage event. But the Pudukkottai police acted on their own and imposed a ban. Considering the importance of this matter, we sought an explanation from Pudukkottai District Superintendent of Police Ravindrakumar Gupta. He said, ``The police department cannot directly ban a film. The police do not have the authority to do so. If any film is to be screened in public, it must have the proper certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Films that have obtained such certification can be screened or broadcast without any hindrance. At the same time, there is no problem in making a video for personal use and watching it among yourselves.
At the same time, if a video is to be broadcast in public or in the media, there are certain legal regulations for that. Even for uploading on websites like YouTube, specific quality standards and rules are followed. Therefore, whatever kind of video you wish to broadcast to the public, you must obtain proper permission (License) from the competent authority responsible for it. Only after obtaining such a license can it be released in public.
“We have not issued any order from our side, such as a ban on screening this film, which has already been approved by the government and is available on YouTube. I will once again verify the complaint you are making about this. In general, the police will only enforce legal regulations. If there are any issues in this, as you mentioned, I will certainly investigate them,” he said, throwing up his hands, saying that no order whatsoever had been given to stop the documentary screening.

ஆனால், புதிய இடத்திற்கும் விரைந்த போலீஸ் படை, ‘மேலிட உத்தரவு… இந்த ஆவணப்படத்தைத் திரையிடக் கூடாது’ எனக் கறாராக உத்தரவிட்டது. இந்தத் திடீர் தடையால் அதிர்ச்சியடைந்த ஏற்பாட்டாளர்களும், இயக்குநர்களும் போலீஸாருடன் வாக்குவாதத்தில் ஈடுபட்டனர். போலீஸாரின் கடுமையான எதிர்ப்பைத் தொடர்ந்து, ஆவணப்படம் திரையிடுவது தவிர்க்கப்பட்டது. இறுதியில், அந்த நிகழ்வானது ஆவணப்படம் குறித்த கருத்துகளைப் பகிர்ந்து கொள்ளும் தளமாகவும், கண்டனக் கூட்டமுமாக மாறி நிறைவடைந்தது.
ஏற்கனவே யூடியூபில் ஆயிரக்கணக்கானோரால் பார்க்கப்பட்ட, மத நல்லிணக்கத்தைப் பேசும் ஒரு ஆவணப்படத்திற்கு போலீஸார் ஏன் இவ்வளவு கெடுபிடி காட்ட வேண்டும் என்ற கேள்வி மாநிலம் முழுவதும் எழுந்துள்ளது.
ஜனநாயக நாட்டில், அம்பேத்கர், பெரியாரைக் கொள்கைத் தலைவர்களாக ஏற்றுக்கொண்ட ஒரு அரசின் கீழ் மத நல்லிணக்கதை பலப்படுத்தும் வகையில் உருவாக்கப்பப்பட்ட ஆவணப்படத்தை திரையிடத் தடை விதிக்கப்பட்டது அரசியல் ஆர்வலர்கள், எழுத்தாளர்கள், ஊடகவியலாளர்கள் மத்தியில் கொந்தளிப்பை ஏற்படுத்தியிருக்கிறது.
இது தொடர்பாக தமிழ்நாடு டிஜிட்டல் ஊடகவியலாளர் சங்கம் வெளியிட்டிருக்கும் கண்டன அறிக்கையில், “சமகாலத்தில் மதநல்லிணக்கத்திற்கு வந்த அச்சுறுத்தலையொட்டி ஊடகவியலாளர் ‘அறக்கலகம்’ தவம் அவர்கள் திரு. தமிழ்தாசன் அவர்களோடு இணைந்து தயாரித்து இயக்கிய மதநல்லிணக்கத்தை வலியுறுத்தும் “திருப்பரங்குன்றம் Files” என்ற ஆவணப்படத்தை கடந்த பிப்ரவரி மாதம் சென்னை ஃபோர் பிரேம்ஸ் அரங்கில் வெளியிட்டு, திரையிடல் நிகழ்வுகளும் நடைபெற்றது. அப்போது மூத்த ஊடகவியலாளர்கள், அரசியல் தலைவர்கள், இயக்கச் செயற்பாட்டாளர்கள், திரைப்படக் கலைஞர்கள் எனப் பலரும் கலந்துகொண்டனர். இதனையடுத்து இன்னும் சில திரையிடல்களும் நடைபெற்றன.
அனைத்துத் தரப்பினராலும் பாராட்டப்பட்ட அந்த திருப்பரங்குன்றம் Files ஆவணப்படத்தை புதுக்கோட்டையில் இன்று (31 மே) திரையிட ஏற்பாடு செய்திருந்தனர் வீதி கலை இலக்கியக் களம் அமைப்பினர். ஆனால், நிகழ்ச்சி நடப்பதாக இருந்த தனியார் அரங்கத்துக்கு வந்த காவல்துறையினர் அதை நடத்தக் கூடாது எனத் தடுத்துள்ளனர். அரங்க உரிமையாளர்களுக்கு தொந்தரவு வேண்டாம் என தமிழ்நாடு அறிவியல் இயக்க அரங்கத்திற்கு நிகழ்வை மாற்றியும் உள்ளனர். தமிழ்நாடு அறிவியல் இயக்க அரங்கில் திரையிடல் ஏற்பாடுகள் நடைபெற்ற நிலையில் திடீரென அங்கும் காவல்துறையினர் வந்துள்ளனர். ‘திரையிடக் கூடாது…மேலிட உத்தரவு’ என்று கூறி நிகழ்ச்சியை தடுத்துள்ளனர்.
‘இது ஏற்கெனவே வெளியிடப்பட்ட படம்தான். YouTube-ல் Cheral என்ற தளத்தில் இந்த ஆவணப்படம் வெளியிடப்பட்டு 60 ஆயிரத்துக்கும் அதிகமானோர் பார்த்துள்ளனர். இது ஒன்றும் ரகசிய நடவடிக்கை இல்லை. நீங்களும் வேண்டுமானால் அமர்ந்து பாருங்கள்’ என்று எவ்வளவோ சொல்லிப் பார்த்துள்ளனர் ஏற்பாட்டாளர்கள். ஆனால் காவல்துறை கேட்கவில்லை. கடைசியில் ஆவணப்படத் திரையிடல் ரத்து செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
பிப்ரவரி 2026 முதல் தேர்தலுக்கு முன்வரை பலமுறை இந்த ஆவணப்படத்தின் தனியார் திரையிடல் நடந்துள்ளது. எந்தச் சிக்கலும் எழுந்ததில்லை.. திரையிடல் கூடாது என்பதற்குக் காரணத்தை எழுத்துப் பூர்வமாகத் தரவும் மறுத்துள்ளனர். ‘புரிஞ்சுக்கோங்க சார், மேல இருந்து உத்தரவு’ என்று காவல்துறை சொன்னதன் பொருள் என்ன? காவல்துறையின் இந்த அத்துமீறிய அராஜகத்தை தமிழ்நாடு டிஜிட்டல் ஊடகவியலாளர்கள் சங்கம் வன்மையாகக் கண்டிக்கின்றது.
மதச்சார்பின்மையைக் காப்பது இந்திய அரசமைப்புச் சட்டம் கொடுத்துள்ள கடமை. அதனடிப்படையில் ஒரு கருத்தைப் பேசுவது அரசமைப்புச் சட்டம் கொடுத்துள்ள உரிமை. இந்த உரிமைக்கும் கடமைக்கும் தமிழ்நாடு காவல்துறை தடை விதித்துள்ளது. இந்த விவகாரத்தில் தமிழ்நாடு அரசு உடனடியாக விளக்கம் அளிக்க வேண்டும். இதுபோன்ற நிகழ்வுகள் தொடர்ந்து தடுக்கப்படுவதாக நமக்கு வெவ்வேறு தரப்பினரிட்ம் இருந்து புகார்கள் வருகின்றன.
இதற்குத் தமிழ்நாடு அரசின் பதில் என்ன?
ஒரு தனியார் அரங்கில் சிலர் கூடி ஒரு நிகழ்ச்சி நடத்த அரங்க உரிமையாளர் தவிர யாரிடமும் எந்த உத்தரவும் கேட்க வேண்டிய அவசியமில்லை. ஆனால் அதனைத் தடுக்க காவல்துறையை அனுப்பியது யார்? இந்த மறுப்பை எழுத்துப் பூர்வமாகக் கொடுக்காமல் அராஜகமான முறையில் அரங்கில் நுழைந்து தடுத்ததன் பின்னணி என்ன? தமிழ்நாடு அரசு உடனடியாக இதற்கு விளக்கம் அளித்தே ஆக வேண்டும்.” எனக் குறிப்பிட்டிருக்கிறது.
இந்தச் சூழலில் நம்மிடம் பேசிய திருப்பரங்குன்றம் பைல்ஸ் ஆவணப்படத்தை இயக்கிய இயக்குநர் தவம், “திருப்பரங்குன்றம் மக்களிடையே எவ்வித சங்கடங்களோ, சிக்கல்களோ அல்லது மனஸ்தாபங்களோ கிடையாது. அவர்கள் மிகவும் இயல்பாகவே வாழ்கிறார்கள். ஆனால், அரசியல் ஆதாயத்திற்காக அதனை ஊதிப் பெரிதாக்குவது சங்பரிவார் அமைப்புகளும் பா.ஜ.க-வுமே தவிர, அங்குள்ள பொது மக்கள் அல்ல.
இந்த ஆவணப்படத்துக்காக மதுரையைச் சுற்றியுள்ள பல கிராமங்களுக்கு நாங்கள் நேரில் பயணம் செய்து, அங்குள்ள மக்களின் உண்மை நிலையைப் பதிவு செய்துள்ளோம். மக்களின் கடவுள் நம்பிக்கைகளில் எந்தப் பிளவும் இல்லை என்பதைத்தான் இத்திரைப்படம் முதன்மையாகப் பேசுகிறது. இதனை ஒரு பிரசாரமாக மட்டும் கொண்டு சேர்க்காமல், இதற்கு மாற்றுக் கருத்துடையவர்கள் என்ன நினைக்கிறார்கள் என்பதையும், அதற்குப் பொதுமக்கள் அளிக்கும் பதில்களையும் இதில் பதிவு செய்துள்ளோம். நான் மீண்டும் அழுத்தமாகக் கூறுவது, இது நூறு சதவீதம் மத நல்லிணக்கத்தை வலியுறுத்தும் ஒரு திரைப்படம் மட்டுமே.
காவல்துறை தரப்பில் ‘திருப்பரங்குன்றம் ஃபைல்ஸ்’ என்ற தலைப்பைப் பார்த்த உடனே, இது ஏதோ ஒரு சர்ச்சைக்குரிய படம் என்று தவறாகக் கருதுகிறார்கள். இந்துக்களும் இஸ்லாமியர்களும் ஒற்றுமையாக வாழ வேண்டும் என்பதை வலியுறுத்துவதுதான் இந்தப் படத்தொகுப்பின் முக்கிய நோக்கம். இதில் அரசியல் கலக்கக் கூடாது என்பதில் நாங்கள் உறுதியாக இருந்தோம். அதற்காகவே, அறிவுஜீவிகள் மற்றும் நடுநிலையாளர்களின் கருத்துகள், பொதுமக்களின் எதார்த்தமான பார்வைகள், மாற்றுக் கருத்துடைய சோலைக்கண்ணன் மற்றும் பா.ஜ.க பொதுச்செயலாளர் ராமசீனிவாசன் ஆகியோரின் நேர்காணல்கள் என அனைத்துத் தரப்பு நியாயங்களுக்கும் இதில் சமமான இடம் அளிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
இந்தச் சூழலில், தமிழ்நாட்டில் புதிதாகப் பொறுப்பேற்றுள்ள ஆளும் த.வெ.க அரசு தனது கொள்கைத் தலைவர்களாகப் பெரியாரையும் அம்பேத்கரையும் முன்னிறுத்துகிறது. ஆனால், இவர்களின் தற்போதைய செயல்பாடுகள் பெரும் முரண்பாடாக உள்ளன. மத நல்லிணக்கத்தைப் பேசும் ஓர் அரசே, இத்திரைப்படத்திற்கு ‘மேலிட உத்தரவு’ என்று கூறி மொட்டையாகத் தடை விதிப்பது அதிர்ச்சியளிக்கிறது. ‘மேலிட உத்தரவு’ என்றால், அந்த மேலிடம் யார் என்ற கேள்வி எழுகிறது. இது ஒரு மதச்சார்பற்ற திரைப்படம் என்றால், மதச்சார்பற்ற கொள்கையுடைய ஓர் அரசு இதனை வரவேற்றுக் கொண்டாட வேண்டாமா? அதற்கு மாறாக, இத்திரைப்படத்தைத் தடுப்பது ஏன்?
கொள்கை ஒன்று, செயல்பாடு வேறொன்று என இந்த அரசு இயங்குகிறதா? அல்லது பா.ஜ.க, ஆர்.எஸ்.எஸ் போன்ற சங்பரிவார் அமைப்புகளின் அழுத்தத்திற்கு ஆட்பட்டு இப்படிச் செய்கிறதா? என்ற கேள்வி இயல்பாகவே எழுகிறது. இதனைக் கண்டித்து எழுத்தாளர்கள், அறிவுஜீவிகள், ஊடகவியலாளர்கள் மற்றும் குறிப்பாக டிஜிட்டல் ஜெர்னலிசம் பத்திரிகையாளர் சங்கம் தங்களது கண்டனங்களைப் பதிவு செய்து, சமூக ஊடகங்களில் பகிர்ந்து வருகின்றனர். அரசின் சொல்லுக்கும் செயலுக்கும் இடையே உள்ள முரண்பாட்டை இது காட்டுகிறது.
இத்திரைப்படத்தை அடுத்த சில நாட்களில் மதுரையிலும் திரையிடத் திட்டமிட்டுள்ளோம். அங்கேயும் அரசு தரப்பில் தடையோ அல்லது நெருக்கடியோ ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டால், பொதுமக்களையும், சமூக அமைப்புகளையும் ஒன்றிணைத்துப் பெரியதொரு போராட்டமாக இதனை முன்னெடுப்போம்.
மக்களின் ஒற்றுமைக்காக நாங்கள் அர்ப்பணிப்புடன் உருவாக்கிய படைப்பு இது. அனைவரும் சாதி, மத பேதமின்றி ரத்தமும் சதையுமாக ஒற்றுமையாக வாழ வேண்டும் என்ற நோக்கில் எடுக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு படத்தை, பெரியாரியம் மற்றும் அம்பேத்கரியம் பேசும் த.வெ.க அரசே தடை செய்வதை ஒருபோதும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள முடியாது.” என உறுதியான குரலில் தன் கண்டனத்தைப் பதிவு செய்திருக்கிறார்.
இது தொடர்பாக தமிழ்நாடு முற்போக்கு எழுத்தாளர் கலைஞர்கள் சங்கத்தின் (தமுஎச) துணைத்தலைவர் மற்றும் நிகழ்ச்சி ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர்கள் கவிஞர் முத்து நிலவனிடம் பேசினோம். அவர், “திரையிடலைத் தடுத்த காவல்துறையினர் இது “மேலிட உத்தரவு” என்று கூறினர். ஆவணப் படத்தை ஏன் திரையிடக்கூடாது என்பதற்கான எந்தவொரு எழுத்துப்பூர்வமான தடையாணையையும் காவல்துறையினர் வழங்கவில்லை.
இந்த நிகழ்வு நடத்த வேண்டுமானால் “அனுமதி வாங்கிவிட்டு நடத்துங்கள்” என்று மட்டுமே கூறினர். காவல்துறையினருடன் தேவையற்ற வாக்குவாதத்தையோ, சட்டம்-ஒழுங்கு பிரச்சனையையோ உருவாக்க வேண்டாம் என்பதால், மாற்று வழியைக் கையாண்டோம்.
மக்கள் ஒற்றுமையைக் காக்கும் காவல் துறையின் பணியைத்தான் இந்த ஆவணப்படமும் கலை வடிவில் செய்கிறது. இதை அரங்க நிகழ்வாக திரையிடுவதில் எந்தத் தடையும் இருக்கப் போவதில்லை என்று தமுஎகச மாநிலக் குழு கருதுகிறது. ஆனால் புதுக்கோட்டையின் காவல்துறை தன்னிச்சையாகச் செயல்பட்டு தடை செய்து விட்டது. மக்கள் ஒற்றுமை, மத ஒற்றுமைக்காகப் பாடுபட வேண்டிய காவல் துறை இப்படித் தன்னிச்சையாகச் செயல்பட்டு கலைப் படைப்பைத் தடுத்து நிறுத்துவதை தமிழ்நாடு முற்போக்கு எழுத்தாளர் கலைஞர்கள் சங்க மாநிலக்குழு வன்மையாகக் கண்டிக்கிறது.
அதோடு, இதுபோன்ற மக்கள் ஒற்றுமையை வலியுறுத்தும் கலைப் படைப்புகளைத் தமிழ்நாடு முழுவதும், அரங்குகளில் பொது இடங்களில் திரையிட்டு மக்களிடம் விழிப்புணர்வை வளர்க்க, தமிழ்நாடு அரசும், குறிப்பாக காவல் துறையும் அதற்கு பாதுகாப்பு வழங்கிட வேண்டும். புதிதாக பொறுப்பேற்றுள்ள தமிழக முதல்வர் திரைத்துறையிலிருந்து வந்தவர். அம்பேத்கர் பெரியாரைத் தமது வழிகாட்டியாகக் கூறிக்கொள்ளும் அவரும், அவரது அரசும், இது போன்ற கலைப்படைப்புகளுக்கு பாதுகாப்பு வழங்கிட வேண்டும் என்றும் தமுஎகச வலியுறுத்திக் கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறது.” எனக் குறிப்பிட்டிருந்தார்.
இந்த விவகாரத்தின் முக்கியத்துவம் கருதி புதுக்கோட்டை மாவட்ட காவல் கண்காணிப்பாளர் ரவீந்திரகுமார் குப்தாவிடம் விளக்கம் கேட்டோம். அவர், “காவல்துறை தரப்பில் நேரடியாக ஒரு திரைப்படத்திற்குத் தடை விதிக்க இயலாது. அதற்கான அதிகாரமும் காவல்துறைக்குக் கிடையாது. எந்தவொரு திரைப்படத்தையும் பொதுவெளியில் திரையிட வேண்டுமானால், அதற்கு மத்திய திரைப்படத் தணிக்கை வாரியத்தின் (CBFC) முறையான சான்றிதழ் இருக்க வேண்டும். அவ்வாறு சான்றிதழ் பெற்ற திரைப்படங்களை எவ்விதத் தடையுமின்றித் திரையிடவோ அல்லது ஒளிபரப்பவோ முடியும். அதேநேரம், தனிப்பட்ட பயன்பாட்டிற்காக ஏதேனும் ஒரு காணொலியைத் தயாரித்துத் தங்களுக்குள் பார்த்துக் கொள்வதில் எந்தப் பிரச்சினையும் இல்லை.

ஏற்கெனவே அரசால் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்ட, யூடியூபில் இருக்கும் இத்திரைப்படத்தையும் திரையிடுவதற்கானத் தடை போன்ற எந்தவொரு உத்தரவையும் எங்கள் தரப்பிலிருந்து நாங்கள் வழங்கவில்லை. இது குறித்து நீங்கள் கூறும் புகாரை நான் மீண்டும் ஒருமுறை சரிபார்த்துக் கொள்கிறேன். பொதுவாக, சட்டப்படியான விதிமுறைகளைத்தான் காவல்துறை நடைமுறைப்படுத்தும். நீங்கள் குறிப்பிட்டது போல இதில் ஏதேனும் சிக்கல்கள் இருந்தால், அது குறித்து நிச்சயமாக விசாரணை செய்கிறேன்.” என ஆவணப்படத் திரையிடத் தடைக்கு எந்த உத்தரவும் கொடுக்கவே இல்லை என கை விரித்தார்.
அப்படியானால் அந்த ‘மேலிட உத்தரவு’ யாருடையது? என்பதுதான் மில்லியன் டாலர் கேள்வி!
