Industrialist Gautam Adani and his relative Sagar have been accused of bribery in the United States. Both were charged with giving bribes to Indian officials to secure solar power projects in India. Currently, in a sudden turn of events, the U.S. judiciary has decided to withdraw the charges against Adani. The U.S. Department of Justice is set to announce the dismissal of the complaints against Adani this week. Similarly, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is also preparing to make a decision regarding the dismissal of charges against Adani and Sagar. At the same time, even if the charges are dropped, the SEC has indicated that fines may still be imposed.
