Selvaperundagai, the leader of the Tamil Nadu Congress, contested in the Sriperumbudur constituency of Kanchipuram. He was the one who worked hard to form the DMK-Congress alliance. திமுக – காங்கிரஸ் கூட்டணியை அமைத்ததில் வெற்றியைத் தழுவிய செல்வப்பெருந்தகை, தனது தொகுதியில் வெற்றி பெறவில்லை.
மூன்றாவது முறையாக ஶ்ரீபெரும்புதூரில் போட்டியிட்ட செல்வப்பெருந்தகைக்கு தோல்வி கிடைக்கிறது.
