Last week, BJP members called for a protest in the Mumbai Orlem area opposing the defeat of the women's reservation bill in Parliament. அவர் தனது வீடியோவில், ”சம்பவத்தன்று நான் எனது மகளை மியூசிக் கிளாசில் இருந்து மாலை 4.45 மணிக்கு பிக்கப் செய்வதற்காகச் சென்று கொண்டிருந்தேன். ஆனால் கார் போக்குவரத்து நெருக்கடியில் சிக்கிக்கொண்டது.
காருக்குள் 25 நிமிடம் இருந்தேன். அதன் பிறகுதான் என்ன நடக்கிறது என்று தெரிந்து கொள்ள காரைவிட்டு இறங்கினேன். பா.ஜ.கவினரின் போராட்டம் காரணமாக என்னை போன்று ஏராளமானோர் போக்குவரத்து நெருக்கடியில் சிக்கி இருந்தனர்.
ரோட்டில் இரண்டு பஸ்களைக் கொண்டு வந்து நிறுத்தி இருந்ததால் மற்ற வாகனங்களால் செல்ல முடியவில்லை. ஒன்றரை மணி நேரமாக ஒவ்வொரு போலீஸ் அதிகாரியிடமும் சென்று ரோட்டில் நிறுத்தி இருக்கும் பஸ்களை அங்கிருந்து அகற்றும்படி கேட்டுக்கொண்டேன். அப்படி எடுத்தால் மற்ற வாகனங்கள் யூ டர்ன் எடுத்து செல்ல முடியும் என்று கூறினேன்.
ஆனால் எந்த அதிகாரியும் அதனைக் கேட்கவில்லை. சேவை (serve) என்ற சொல்லைச் சிறப்பாக வலியுறுத்த விரும்புகிறேன்; ஏனெனில், நீங்கள்(போலீஸார்) சீருடை அணியும்போது, பொதுச் சேவையில் ஈடுபடுகிறீர்கள்.

அமைச்சருடன் வாக்குவாதத்தில் ஈடுபட்டபோது தண்ணீர் பாட்டிலைத் தூக்கி எறிந்தது குறித்தும் ரீனா விளக்கம் அளித்துள்ளார். அதில், நான் போராட்டம் நடத்தியவர்களை நோக்கி தண்ணீர் பாட்டிலை எறியவில்லை. எனக்கு முன்பு சாலை தடுப்பு இருந்ததால் போலீஸாரின் கவனத்தை ஈர்க்க தண்ணீர் பாட்டிலை தரையில் தூக்கி எறிந்தேன் என்று குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.
