தி.மு.க கூட்டணியில் காங்கிரஸுக்கு 28, தேமுதிக-வுக்கு 10 என தாராளம் காட்டப்பட்ட நிலையில், ம.தி.மு.க-வுக்குக் கிடைத்தது வெறும் 4 இடங்கள் மட்டுமே. இதில் உச்சக்கட்ட வேதனை என்னவென்றால், அந்த நான்கில் மூன்று தொகுதிகளில் உதயசூரியன் சின்னத்தில்தான் போட்டியிட வேண்டும் என்கிற ‘கட்டாய’ நிபந்தனைத் தான்.
எஸ்டிபிஐ போன்ற சிறிய கட்சிகளின் வரிசையில் வைத்து ம.தி.மு.க-வும் கையாளப்படுவது அக்கட்சியின் நிர்வாகிகளைச் செரிக்க முடியாத துயரத்தில் ஆழ்த்தி இருக்கிறது.
திமுக-வுடனான கூட்டணியில் உடன்பாடில்லை!
“கூட்டணி தர்மத்துக்காகக் குனிந்து கொடுக்கிறோம்… ஆனால் அதுவே எங்களை மண்டியிடச் செய்துவிடுமோ?” என்ற அச்சம் வைகோவின் பாசறையில் இப்போது பலமாகவே எதிரொலிக்கிறது.

குறைவானத் தொகுதி எண்ணிக்கை, அவர்கள் சின்னத்திலேயே போட்டியிட சொல்வது எல்லாம் நியாயமான விஷயம் அல்ல. 99.9 சதவிகித நிர்வாகிகளுக்கு உடன்பாடு இல்லாத கூட்டணிதான் இது.
