As the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections approach, the DMK alliance has yet to take its full shape. Although parties like Congress, VCK, CPI, CPM, MDMK, Muslim League, and TWA are involved, there are talks that DMK is trying to bring the DMDK and PMK Ramadoss factions into the alliance. However, if Ramadoss's faction joins the DMK alliance, the question arises whether VCK will accept it. Thirumavalavan had already declared that Ramadoss and Stalin have no connections, alliances, or agreements with the religious fundamentalist BJP or the casteist PMK.
In this context, today (Jan. 25), when Thirumavalavan met with journalists, he was asked a question regarding this matter. In response, he said, "We have decided that neither PMK nor BJP will be part of the alliance. Both these parties promote politics of hatred based on caste and religion. A faction of PMK is part of the Modi-led coalition. The DMK leadership will decide on including PMK in the alliance. We remain firm in the decision made 14 years ago that we will not be part of an alliance that includes BJP and PMK," Thirumavalavan clarified.

காங்கிரஸ், விசிக, சிபிஐ, சிபிஎம், மதிமுக, முஸ்லீம் லீக், தவாக உள்ளிட்ட கட்சிகள் இருந்தாலும், தேமுதிக மற்றும் பாமக ராமதாஸ் அணியை கூட்டணியில் கொண்டு வர திமுக முயற்சியில் இறங்கி இருப்பதாக பேச்சுகள் அடிபடுகின்றன.
ஆனால் ராமதாஸ் அணி திமுக கூட்டணிக்குள் வந்தால், அதனை விசிக ஏற்குமா? என்ற கேள்வி எழுந்தது.

இந்நிலையில் இன்று( ஜன.25) செய்தியாளர்களைச் சந்தித்த திருமாவளவனிடம் இது தொடர்பாகக் கேள்வி எழுப்பப்பட்டது.
அதற்கு பதிலளித்த அவர், “பாமக, பாஜக ஆகிய இரு கட்சிகளும் இருக்கும் அணியில் இடம்பெறப் போவதில்லை என்பதை முடிவு செய்துவிட்டோம்.
அந்த இரு கட்சிகளும் சாதி மற்றும் மதத்தின் பெயரால் வெறுப்பு அரசியலை முன்னெடுக்கும் கட்சிகள். பாமகவின் ஓர் அணி மோடி தலைமையிலான கூட்டணியில் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளது.
ராமதாஸ் தரப்பு பாமகவை கூட்டணிக்குள் இணைப்பது குறித்து திமுக தலைமை முடிவு செய்யும்.
பாஜக, பாமக இருக்கும் அணியில் இடம்பெறமாட்டோம் என்று 14 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு எடுத்த முடிவில் இன்றும் உறுதியாக இருக்கிறோம்” என்று திருமாவளவன் தெளிவுப்படுத்தி இருக்கிறார்.
