Promises made by TVK

Agricultural loan waiver - Chief Minister Joseph Vijay announced that crop loans of up to Rs. 50,000 taken by small and marginal farmers from cooperative banks from May 1, 2025, to Feb. 28, 2026, will be waived.
Farmers had expected the crop loan to be completely waived. However, it has not been fully waived. Conditions have been announced. The Reserve Bank of India’s regulations are being cited.
Crimes against women - While Chief Minister Vijay had raised allegations during the election campaign that women are not safe in Tamil Nadu, under the TVK government, the sexual murder of a 10-year-old girl in Coimbatore shook the entire state.
