எண்ணெய் வர்த்தகம் பாதிக்கப்படுவது இரண்டாவது ஆபத்து. பெர்சிய கடலில் உள்ள ஹோர்முஸ் பகுதி ஈரானின் கட்டுப்பாட்டில் உள்ளது. வெறும் 30 கி.மீ அகலம் கொண்ட இந்த பகுதியை ஈரான் முடக்கினால், உலகளவிலான எண்ணெய் வர்த்தகம் பாதிக்கப்படும். கச்சா எண்ணெய் விலையும் அதிகரிக்கக் கூடும். அவ்வாறு அதிகரித்தால், உலகம் முழுவதும் பெட்ரோல், டீசல், எரிபொருள் விலை உயரும். அதன் விளைவாக அத்தியாவசிய பொருட்களின் விலையும் கடுமையாக உயரும் அபாயம் இருக்கிறது.
உலக நாடுகள் தலையிட்டு உடனடியாக போரை நிறுத்த முயல்வதே இந்நேரத்தின் அத்தியாவசியம்!
