Near Chinnamanur in Theni district, there is a self-manifested Shaniwar Bhagavan temple in Kucchanur Municipality. அரசு அலுவலர்கள் இந்து சமய அறநிலைத்துறையினர் என ஏராளமானோர் அந்த விழாவில் கலந்து கொண்டனர். அப்போது கோவிலுக்குள் இரண்டு பிரிவுகளாக வருகை தந்த அப்பகுதியில் வசிக்கும் பொதுமக்கள் குச்சனூர் பேரூராட்சியில் மின் மயானம் அமைக்கக் கூடாது எனக் கூறி ஒரு தரப்பினரும், மற்றொரு தரப்பினர் மின் மயானம் அமைக்க வேண்டும் எனக் கூறியும் திடீரென இரண்டு பிரிவுகளாக ஆர்ப்பாட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டனர்.
அவர்களை போலீசார் நுழைவு வாயிலில் தடுத்து நிறுத்தி போராட்டம் செய்வதற்குத் தடை விதித்தனர்.
தொடர்ந்து விழா நடைபெறும் இடத்திலிருந்து வெளியே வந்த எம்பி தங்க தமிழ்ச்செல்வன் காரை வழிமறித்து பொதுமக்கள் கண்டன கோஷங்களை எழுப்பினார்கள்.
தங்க தமிழ்செல்வன் பொதுமக்களைச் சமாதானம் செய்ய முயன்றபோது அங்கு வருகை தந்த மற்றொரு தரப்பினர் மயானம் தேவை எனக் கூறி அவரிடம் வாக்குவாதத்தில் ஈடுபட்டனர்.
அப்போது அங்கு வந்த ஒருவர் தேனி பாராளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர் தங்க தமிழ்ச்செல்வனிடம் வாக்குவாதம் செய்து மனுவினைக் கொடுக்க முயற்சி செய்ததால் தள்ளுமுள்ளு ஏற்பட்டது.
அப்போது அங்கு பாதுகாப்புப் பணியில் இருந்த போலீசார் போராட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டவர்களைச் சமாதானப்படுத்தி அங்கிருந்து கலைந்து செல்ல வேண்டும் எனக் கூறியதைத் தொடர்ந்து அவர்கள் கலைந்து சென்றனர்.
மேலும் இரு தரப்பினரிடமும் புகார் மனுவினைப் பெற்றுக் கொண்ட எம்பி தங்க தமிழ்ச்செல்வன் இது குறித்து நடவடிக்கை எடுப்பதாகக் கூறிவிட்டு கிளம்பிச் சென்றார்.
