Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari responded on Thursday (June 18) to Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on the NEET question paper leak.
More than 2.2 million students across the country took the NEET exam held on May 3. Following this, complaints emerged that the questions asked in the exam had leaked in Rajasthan even before the test.
After these complaints were confirmed, the exam was canceled. The National Testing Agency had also announced that the re-exam would be held on June 21. This incident became a major topic of discussion across the country.
Most of the country’s political leaders, including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, demanded the resignation of the Union Education Minister and called for the National Testing Agency to be disbanded. At the same time, the government is taking various precautionary measures to ensure that this re-examination is conducted properly and completed successfully.
In this context, while participating and speaking at a student rally called 'Chatron Ki Goonj' held in Kota, Rajasthan, Rahul Gandhi strongly criticized India’s current education system as a "money-making machine."
Speaking about this, Diya Kumari said, “This is an irresponsible statement. During the Congress regime, there were also excessive question paper leaks in the examinations conducted. Rahul Gandhi did not say anything about that.”

நீட் வினாத்தாள் கசிவு தொடர்பாக மக்களவை எதிர்க்கட்சித் தலைவர் ராகுல் காந்தியின் கருத்துக்கு, ராஜஸ்தான் துணை முதல்வர் தியா குமாரி வியாழக்கிழமை (ஜூன் 18) பதிலளித்துள்ளார்.
கடந்த மே 3 ஆம் தேதி நடைபெற்ற நீட் தேர்வில் நாடு முழுவதும் சுமார் 22 லட்சத்துக்கும் மேற்பட்ட மாணவர்கள் தேர்வெழுதினர். இதையடுத்து, தேர்வுக்கு முன்னதாகவே தேர்வில் கேட்கப்பட்ட வினாக்கள் ராஜஸ்தான் மாநிலத்தில் கசிந்ததாகப் புகார்கள் வந்தன.
