Chennai: A massive protest demonstration will be held on June 23 in Saidapet, Chennai, on behalf of the DMK Students’ Wing, condemning the NEET exam and the imposition of Hindi and Sanskrit, said DMK Students’ Wing Secretary J. Veeramani.
In a statement issued by him regarding this, “In the NEET exam imposed across India by the fascist BJP government, fraud and irregularities are being exposed every year. During the DMK regime, a resolution was passed in the Legislative Assembly and sent to the Union government demanding complete exemption from the NEET exam, but no action has been taken so far.
Since the announcement that this year’s NEET exam would be canceled, many students across India have died by suicide out of fear of a retest. Every year, many students across India die by suicide and perish. This is a blatant massacre carried out by the fascist Modi government. The DMK has been continuously pressuring the fascist Modi government to abolish such entrance exams and eligibility tests.
Likewise, the BJP-led Union government has been engaged in a conspiracy to strip away the rights of linguistic states, force people to abandon their mother tongue, and impose Hindi and Sanskrit on the public, reducing them to second-class citizens. Since the BJP came to power at the Centre in 2014, it has been imposing Sanskrit in Tamil Nadu through the curriculum in educational institutions and in various other ways.
At present, the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development has issued an order to implement a plan requiring Sanskrit to be studied from Class 9 to Class 12 in Union government schools (CBSE). DMK leader Stalin has condemned this.
Therefore, to block these efforts of the Union government, and as per Stalin’s instructions, in order to condemn the BJP government’s NEET exam and the imposition of Hindi and Sanskrit, and to demand their cancellation, a massive protest demonstration will be held by the DMK Students’ Wing on June 23 (Tuesday) at around 09.00 a.m. near “Kalaignar Ponvizha Arch” in Saidapet, Chennai, the capital city. Let us abolish the deadly NEET exam. Let us prevent the imposition of Sanskrit. Let us uphold the bilingual policy given by Anna,” he said.

இந்த ஆண்டு நடைபெற்ற நீட் தேர்வு ரத்து செய்யப்படுவதாக அறிவித்ததிலிருந்து மறு தேர்வு அச்சத்தால் இந்தியா முழுவதும் மாணவர்கள் பலர் தற்கொலை செய்து கொண்டுள்ளனர். ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் இந்தியா முழுவதும் மாணவர்கள் பலர் தற்கொலை செய்துகொண்டு செத்து மடிகின்றனர். இது பாசிச மோடி அரசால் நிகழ்த்தப்படும் பச்சைப் படுகொலையாகும். இத்தகைய நுழைவுத் தேர்வுகளையும் தகுதித் தேர்வுகளையும் ரத்து செய்யக் கோரி பாசிச மோடி அரசினை திமுக தொடர்ந்து நிர்பந்தித்து வருகிறது.

தற்போது ஒன்றிய அரசுப் பள்ளிகளில் (CBSE) 9-ஆம் வகுப்பிலிருந்து 12-ஆம் வகுப்பு வரை சமஸ்கிருத மொழியைக் கற்க வேண்டும் எனும் திட்டத்தைச் செயல்படுத்திட ஒன்றிய மனிதவள மேம்பாட்டுத் துறை ஆணை பிறப்பித்துள்ளது. இதனைத் திமுக தலைவர் ஸ்டாலின் கண்டித்திருக்கிறார்.
எனவே, ஒன்றிய அரசின் இம்முயற்சிகளை தடுத்திட, ஸ்டாலினின் அறிவுறுத்தலின்படி பாஜக அரசின் நீட்தேர்வு மற்றும் இந்தி, சமஸ்கிருத திணிப்பை கண்டிக்கும் வகையிலும், அவற்றை ரத்து செய்ய வலியுறுத்தியும் தலைநகராம் சென்னை மாநகர், சைதையில் “கலைஞர் பொன்விழா வளைவு” அருகில், ஜூன் 23 (செவ்வாய்கிழமை) அன்று காலை 09.00 மணியளவில், திமுக மாணவர் அணி சார்பில் மாபெரும் கண்டன ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் நடைபெறும். உயிர்க்கொல்லி நீட்தேர்வினை ஒழித்திடுவோம். வடமொழி திணிப்பை தடுத்திடுவோம். அண்ணா தந்த இருமொழி கொள்கையை போற்றிடுவோம்” என்று தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
