Former minister R.B. Udhayakumar has expressed opposition to an AI video showing former Chief Minister M.G.R. speaking with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay.
TVK members had been sharing on social media an AI video of former Chief Minister M.G.R. speaking with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay.
Recently, following TVK’s victory in the by-elections held in the Madurantakam and Dharapuram constituencies, the video had been edited to show M.G.R. congratulating Vijay.
Speaking about this at a press conference, former AIADMK minister R.B. Udhayakumar said, “In the Assembly election, TVK members created a false image on social media through content creators. They have now also released a fake video.
They have released a fake video as if revolutionary leader MGR were congratulating Vijay. TVK has released a fake video created using AI, making it appear as though MGR and Vijay were together. In it, they have shown MGR telling Vijay to take care of the party workers and also as if he were taking Vijay to the Secretariat. This is an act of deceiving the people.
What is the connection between M.G.R. and Vijay? Has Vijay ever met M.G.R.? Vijay was someone who waited to release his films with Amma and Edappadiyar.
Can the Chief Minister himself release such a fake video and carry out this kind of forgery, this 420 cheating act?
Was this video released with the Chief Minister’s knowledge, or was it released without his knowledge? Was permission obtained for this, or was it released without permission?
Vijay says, “I am M.G.R.” No one can even be equal to the dust at M.G.R.’s feet. Supporters are deeply upset because of this video.
