Perambalur: “The Amudham store has been opened so that the people are not affected. However, in the Amudham store issue, Opposition Leader Udhayanidhi Stalin is acting like a detective,” Minister Rajmohan has criticized.
In Perambalur, District In-charge Minister and Minister for Tamil Development and Information, Publicity Department Rajmohan inaugurated 11 new buildings constructed at a cost of Rs. 12.83 crore for public use.
Speaking to reporters at the event, Rajmohan said, “Due to the changing economic situation and the shortage of fuel available in Gulf countries, there is fluctuation in market value. As a result, prices have risen. However, in order to ensure that people are not affected, the Amudham store has been opened.
At the Amudham store, six types of grocery items are provided at low prices. Rice is sold for Rs. 30 and Rs. 60. Ration rice is not polished and supplied. In the Amudham store issue, opposition leader Udhayanidhi Stalin is acting like a detective.
Because of the heavy influx of people, there is a shortage in the availability of grocery items. Henceforth, necessary steps will be taken to stock grocery items sufficient for the next 15 days.
A review meeting will be held regarding the rain damage in Perambalur. Necessary precautionary measures will be taken to prevent damage. Rain damage is common to all districts. The notion that we are giving importance only to Chennai is incorrect. We have appointed separate nodal officers for each district and are monitoring rain-related damage by setting up control rooms. Instead of politicizing rain damage, all parties should show concern for the welfare of the people.
Vacant headmaster posts in government schools will be filled. Having a sports class after the lunch break is only to encourage students. There should be no stress in studies. To protect students’ mental well-being, importance will be given to sports, libraries, and arts training.
Tamil has not been neglected in any school. Importance is being given to Tamil. An important announcement regarding the development of Tamil will be released soon. Complaints are being received that special classes are being conducted in private schools on weekly holidays.
It is condemnable to conduct classes during the weekly holiday under parental pressure in order to show a higher pass percentage. If classes are conducted on weekly holidays from now on, action will be taken.
There should be no caste discrimination in schools. The police should take action against anyone—students, teachers, or parents—who acts with caste discrimination. The government has given the police permission to act independently in this matter.
TVK does not want to do politics in municipal administration. DMK members can do politics, because they are not in power.
Officials should inspect the rain-affected areas without any political bias. Perambalur is a district rich in archaeological formations. From dinosaur eggs to various fossils have been found.
Necessary steps will be taken to protect archaeological fossils. A museum will be set up to protect the fossils and for public viewing. Museums that are not functioning will also be opened. An important announcement regarding ammonite fossils will be released soon,” he said.
