"Will they understand through the lesson taught by Madurantakam and Dharapuram, or will they gain self-awareness?" New Tamil Nadu Party leader Dr. Krishnasamy has strongly criticized the TVK government.
In a statement he issued on this, he said, "The Vijay government, which is in power with the support of 107 MLAs and with the backing of a few political parties that are not worthy of trust, is about to complete five months since taking office.
The Vijay government, which came to power by showering countless promises such as complete prohibition and corruption-free governance, is struggling to fulfill any of the promises it made.
The lack of administrative experience, from the legislators to the Chief Minister, is evident in many of the government’s functions as well.
On one side are the daily murders, law-and-order problems, and public protests; on the other, continuous power cuts. From small and medium enterprises to large companies, there is the distressing situation of having to operate only through self-generated power.
Overall, all these shortcomings together have begun to stifle economic growth.

Compared with the tax revenue for the months of July, August, and September last year, this year tax revenue fell by one percent in July and August, and GST tax revenue declined by five percent in September. At the same time, the revenue of many states has increased several times over. It is not known what will happen in October and November.
If this continues, liquidity could decline sharply, leading to a major economic crisis. There is also a possibility that many people may lose their jobs.
Who is to rouse this government that lies prostrate, and from where is it to be roused? No one knows where the head is or where the feet are. If someone like Arogyasamy and someone like Vishnu Prasad try to run the government, wouldn’t such consequences be inevitable?
The 'Vijay wave' that swept through five months ago now seems to be nowhere to be found. The very fact that a Chief Minister has to go from street to street for a by-election shows that what was created then was only temporary, and that it was merely ‘hatred’ toward the previous rulers.
Will they understand from the lesson taught by Madurantakam and Dharapuram, or will they awaken to self-awareness?
If Tamil Nadu’s tax revenue is declining, then other revenues will also naturally decline. The government’s debt burden will increase again. The situation may arise where they have to borrow within a year what previous rulers borrowed over five years.
“Let us remain cautious to face the political, economic, and social upheavals that are about to occur in Tamil Nadu,” he said.
