Coimbatore: “They have won once by following the same route of spreading slander against fellow actors in cinema. The tears of the people will bring an end to this government. It is not good for Tamil Nadu or for the people of Tamil Nadu for this government to continue,” said DMK leader Stalin.
On behalf of the Dravidar Kazhagam, the 148th birth anniversary of Thanthai Periyar and a felicitation ceremony for DMK leader Stalin, who gave the ‘Periyar Arivulagam,’ were held today (Nov. 4) at the VOC Ground in Coimbatore. DK leader K. Veeramani presided over the event and spoke.
Following that, DMK leader Stalin said: Periyar Arivagam stands majestically as a symbol of Coimbatore. I was the one who said that Periyar Thidal determines the path we must take. Periyar Arivagam has emerged as the crowning glory of the projects we have carried out in Coimbatore.
We began the work of setting up libraries in Tirunelveli in the name of the dignified Khaid-e-Millat, in Cuddalore in the name of Anjalai Ammal, and in Salem in the name of Pavendar Bharathidasan. Projects finalized under the DMK government are being canceled under the present government without giving any reasons. We must ensure that the same situation does not arise for the libraries in Nellai, Cuddalore, and Salem, and complete the work quickly and open them.
Opened as 99 percent of the work has been completed:
If Periyar Arivulagam had been a launch project, they would have held a closing ceremony for that too under this government. Since 99 percent of the work has been completed, they had no choice but to open it. Not only I, but all leaders are criticizing the TVK government. Chief Minister Vijay, who said there would be no power centers in my government, has turned out to be a dummy. It is the corporate power centers behind him that are controlling this government.
The TVK regime is a circus that uses these power centers to put on a show with the Chief Minister. Those who voted for this government to come to power are now lamenting that their livelihoods have been affected. They are creating this artificial power outage to cancel the contract awarded at a lower price under the DMK government and justify the contract awarded at twice the price. TVK members are getting caught the most in sexual crimes against women. Just like the youth wing, TVK should form a drug wing and a sexual offenders wing.
Raid to hide the atrocities:
The investments that should be coming to Tamil Nadu are going to neighboring states. This is the TVK government. Tamil Nadu’s economic growth, which was at the top in the country under the DMK regime, has fallen to the ground in these 5 months. They have brought upon themselves 5 years’ worth of humiliation in just 5 months. In this sloppy government, people from all walks of life are in pain.
The responsibility of Chief Minister is not a 10-to-5 office job. One must understand that it requires dedicating oneself completely and living for it. To hide the failures of the TVK government, they are repeatedly conducting raids at the house of former DMK minister Nehru. They are doing this to put on a show because an by-election is coming. The DMK will not back down out of fear after seeing this.
The Chief Minister should act with that sense of responsibility. Chief Minister Vijay should have explained the arrest of the TVK functionary in the drug case. Why did the state police not make the arrest? Chief Minister Vijay himself must take responsibility for this. They have won once by following the same route they used in cinema, spreading slander against fellow actors. From now on, the people of Tamil Nadu will not be deceived. The tears of the people will bring an end to this government. It is not good for Tamil Nadu or the people of Tamil Nadu for this government to continue. He spoke thus.
