Chennai: To avoid long waits for medicines in government hospitals, a system to book medicines in advance through the Nalam AI app and collect them will be introduced soon, said Health Minister Arunraj.
Tamil Nadu Health Minister Arunraj flew from Chennai to Tiruchi yesterday. Earlier, in an interview he gave to reporters at Chennai airport: Dengue fever is under control in Tamil Nadu.
Mosquito eradication work is being carried out intensively. Arrangements have been made in all government hospitals to monitor fever patients and take immediate action. Medicines are ready in stock.
Complaints have been received that people have to wait a long time to buy medicines at government hospitals. Generally, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., most patients come to buy medicines, causing crowds to increase and resulting in the need to wait for a long time.
Action is being taken to fix it. Accordingly, we have developed a new app called “Nalam AI.” Users can use that app to specify and pre-book the times to buy tablets and medicines.
This will prevent crowds from gathering all at once and avoid delays. Users can come at the specified times and buy the tablets and medicines and leave.
This system is set to be implemented soon. The plan to convert the Tambaram District Government Hospital into a medical college hospital is under consideration. It will be discussed with the Chief Minister, and an official announcement will be made accordingly. He said this.
