During the legislative assembly session held on September 7, Chief Minister Vijay had sharply criticized the DMK while speaking in the debate on the grant demands for the police and fire services departments.
He had spoken about the Sarkaria Commission and MISA. In particular, while speaking about MISA, he had indirectly taken a swipe at Stalin with a gesture.
In this situation, the DMK headquarters has announced that, condemning the Chief Minister’s speech in the Assembly, a massive protest demonstration will be held on behalf of the DMK in the district headquarters of the revenue divisions on Saturday, 12.09.2026.
In the statement released in this regard, "By using the allure of the film world and glamour to mesmerize people, building a false image through social media - deceiving children and creating confusion within families - making false promises and seizing power - and since it is also a minority situation in which he cannot obtain the strength to form a government - by giving ministerial responsibilities to those who won in the DMK alliance and securing their support - and by deceiving those who won on behalf of the AIADMK as well by promising them ministerial posts and engaging in horse-trading, actor Vijay has become the Chief Minister.
After coming to this position, did he act with a sense of responsibility? No. He has not fulfilled the promises made to the people. He has been deceiving people by partially carrying out a few promises. He stopped the schemes brought in by the party leader M.K. Stalin through the Dravidian model government. For schemes he cannot stop, he has been doing the work of changing their names and pasting stickers on them very well.
Murder and robbery have increased. Drug trafficking and sexual violence have also increased. TVK functionaries themselves are getting caught in various crimes. Instead of taking any action against them, they are engaged in protecting them. People are saying with regret, “We voted without knowing.” To divert attention from this, the Chief Minister has turned the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly into the stage for his dialogue shooting.
The speech delivered by Vijay in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, belittling the sacrifices of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, the Chief Minister and leader Kalaignar, who governed this country five times, and the economic genius Murasoli Maran, who upheld India’s prestige at the Doha conference, as well as the sacrifices of Leader M.K. Stalin, who was arrested under the MISA (Maintenance of Internal Security Act) emergency law at the age of 23, just five months after marriage, endured prison torture, and spent a year in jail, is highly condemnable. The legislature has likely never witnessed such a repulsive speech in the political world.
Through his speech, the dignity, tradition, and history of the legislature are all being blown away. Those standing in that assembly, if shown in pictures, would have bowed their heads and shed tears. Some ministers knowingly speak in the legislature even though they know it is wrong to do so, and release “memes” and “reels.” After reaching the people through the live broadcast, they then formally remove it from the assembly record. In this way, the TVK government is using the legislative assembly as a stage for tricks.
Unable to answer for the failures of his administration and trying to escape responsibility, Chief Minister Vijay has turned into a low-grade person who speaks in vulgar language.
