India has said that a tense situation arises in the India-China border areas when Chinese troops deviate from regular patrol routes and procedures.
Recently, the Director General of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police, Satrujit Kapoor, said that confrontations between Indian and Chinese troops continue at several places in the India-China border areas in Arunachal Pradesh.
Regarding this, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal told reporters in New Delhi on Friday: As already stated, when Chinese troops deviate from regular patrol routes and procedures, a tense situation arises in the India-China border areas.
Diplomatic and military channels are being used to resolve the outstanding issues between the two sides and to avoid misunderstandings and misjudgments in border areas.
With the aim of better managing the India-China border areas, both sides have decided to discuss ways to improve understanding of the borders.
To improve relations between the two countries overall, it is essential to continue maintaining peace and a smooth atmosphere in the border areas.
Amid widespread public protests in countries including France and Italy due to various reasons, including rising prices in Europe, Indian embassies have advised Indians there to remain cautious and to act with great care when going out. Indian embassies are closely monitoring the situation in those countries.
He said that, as conflict continues in West Asia, India is continuing to send life-saving medicines to Iran on humanitarian grounds.
Congress criticism: Earlier, the Congress party on Friday criticized the central government, saying, “As clashes continue to occur between Indian and Chinese troops in several areas along the Arunachal Pradesh border, the central government continues to remain silent.”
Along with a media report on this clash, Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said in a post on his X page:
After 20 Indian soldiers were killed in the India-China military clash in the Galwan Valley of eastern Ladakh in May 2020, Prime Minister Modi gave China a clean chit on the issue of Chinese aggression on June 19 of the same year. We are now experiencing the consequences of that.
It has been noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who calls himself the guru of the entire world (Vishwaguru), has been deliberately and continuously extending concessions favorable to China.
