Teachers who wish to receive the training provided by the School Education Department for the special TET exam must register in advance; only teachers who have registered will be able to participate in the training, it has been stated.
In Tamil Nadu, the special TET exam for teachers working in government schools, government-aided schools, and private self-financing schools was conducted on July 4 and 5, and the results were released on the 12th. Of the 2.17 lakh teachers who took the exam, 1.10 lakh failed.
In this situation, the next special TET examination for teachers who did not pass will be held on Dec. 20. In this regard, the Education Department had stated that reinforcement training would be provided on weekends for the teachers who are going to take the exam, on behalf of the School Education Department. The School Education Department has issued guidelines for this training.
Details: This reinforcement training program will be conducted entirely through in-person classes only. After the in-person classes, it is planned to provide video-based sessions only on certain specific topics for teachers’ review and reinforcement activities. These training classes have been decided to be conducted in each district by selecting any one location, such as teacher training institutes or the Chief Educational Office, and operating on the basis of one training center per district only.
Teachers who wish to participate in these training classes must register in advance using the ‘QR’ code provided for that purpose. Only teachers who have registered in advance will be allowed to participate in the training. When registering, teachers must accurately enter details such as their name, age, designation, EMIS number, mobile number, email address, school address, educational union, and district.
Registered teachers must arrive at the training center on time as per the schedule and participate in the training. If there is seating availability for specific training classes in other districts, teachers from one district may also attend the training classes conducted there.
The curriculum and topics in this training have been designed to help teachers prepare for the TET. However, it should not be assumed that the questions asked in the examination conducted by the Teachers Recruitment Board will come only from the lessons covered in this training.
Teachers are requested to make the best use of this opportunity in a way that does not disrupt their regular school duties, according to a press release issued by the School Education Department.
