Mumbai / Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Modi met and spoke with his schoolmate Asgarali Vora. At that time, he submitted a petition seeking a CBI investigation into the matter of his own land being encroached upon.
Asgarali Vora (81), who studied with the Prime Minister at B.N. High School in Vadnagar, Gujarat, lives in the Mira Road area of Mumbai. He met the Prime Minister in person on the 8th and spoke with him. At that time, he lodged a complaint about his own land having been seized.
Askarali has legally purchased a 2,810-square-meter plot of land located in the Navghar area of Mumbai’s Bhayandar East. In this situation, Askarali has accused the companies “Swayam Builders” and “Seven Eleven Constructions” of occupying the land by preparing forged documents. He has also noted that BJP MLA Narendra Mehta has links with Seven Eleven.
A case was registered with the police regarding the land grab. However, despite continuing to fight with the Revenue Department and the local administration, he did not get a solution. The case is pending in court.
After years of struggle, Askarali met Prime Minister Modi in person in Delhi and explained the land seizure issue, requesting a CBI investigation. Following this, the local administration has launched a detailed inquiry. Summons have been sent to the representatives of the construction companies involved to appear in person for the direct inquiry scheduled for the 16th.
