Tanjavur: Since a senior officer of the Trichy Central Zone Police Department is also linked to the receipt of Rs. 5 crore from the management of a private hospital in Tanjavur, it has been urged that the CBI investigate this case.
In this regard, Tanjavur private hospital Managing Director R.M. Bhaskaran, Director Saravanan, and lawyer Thiaga. Kamaraj told reporters in Tanjavur yesterday: Jaysree Ramasamy, who was a partner in the private hospital on Vallam No. 1 Road in Tanjavur, left the management for certain reasons.
For this, we had agreed to pay him Rs. 19 crore. Meanwhile, in connection with the problem that arose in the hospital last year, the police registered a case under the Prevention of Cruelty Act and arrested three people, including the hospital partners and the manager.
In this situation, a senior Central Reserve Police Force officer who intervened in the hospital matter threatened that Rs. 5 crore should be given to settle the issue and to refrain from taking further action in the case under the Prevention of Atrocities Act, and that the amount should be handed over to Inspector Sukumaran in Thanjavur; he also threatened that if the money was not paid, we would face various obstacles. Therefore, with no other option, we gave Rs. 5 crore in cash and by cheque to Inspector Sukumaran. However, the case against us was not withdrawn.
Therefore, so that no one else like us is deceived by senior police officers, we submitted a petition to the Tamil Nadu DGP requesting that this case be investigated by the CBCID. Accordingly, CBCID police conducted an investigation and arrested Inspector Sukumaran. However, since a senior police officer from the Central Zone is involved in this case, we believe the case investigation will not proceed impartially. Therefore, this case should be investigated by the CBI. They said this.
