Vadodara: Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday inaugurated projects worth Rs. 35,000 crore in Vadodara, Gujarat. He also laid the foundation stone for some projects.
The Western Dedicated Freight Corridor project was announced during the tenure of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. However, this project had remained stalled for many years. After Prime Minister Narendra Modi took office in 2014, he accelerated the work on the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor project.
Under this project, freight rail corridors are being laid to connect Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.
As part of this, freight rail corridors connecting the Sanand (North) - Makarpura, New Ambargaon - New Safale, and Safale - JNPT sections have been established. At a welfare scheme event held yesterday in Vadodara, Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated new freight rail corridors. A total of 326 km of railway track has been laid. He also laid the foundation stones for various projects related to rail and road facilities.
“Anger” at the “uncles”
Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said: In 2004, the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor project was defined. For this, a special company was also started in 2006.
However, until 2014, the freight rail corridor project existed only on paper. Not even a single kilometer of railway track had been laid. After the BJP government came to power in the middle of 2014, the project work gained momentum. At present, freight rail corridors have been laid over a distance of 2,800 km. Through this, farmers from eastern and northern India are benefiting.
Currently, 430 freight trains are operating on the eastern and western freight corridors. During the previous administration, a freight train needed six and a half hours to cover 100 km. At present, a freight train covers 100 km in 3.15 hours.
A double-decker freight train is being operated on the Mumbai-Vadodara route. A freight train running on this route can carry 250 trucks at the same time. Seeing this remarkable growth, some “uncles” are getting angry.
They may ask what will happen to truck drivers if goods are transported by train. Some are spreading nothing but lies. Young people will not get caught in their web of illusions. Truth will defeat falsehood. Indian youth will lead our country on the path of development.
Developed India in 2047
Since 2014, more than 50,000 state-of-the-art railway coaches have been manufactured. During the previous government’s tenure, not even 50,000 toilets were built in 10 years. India has emerged as a manufacturing hub for railway coaches, metro coaches, and railway engines.
Indian youth are achieving various milestones in artificial intelligence technology. India should dominate this field at the international level.
A target has been set to build a developed India by the year 2047. To achieve this goal, all Indians must work tirelessly. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said this.
