Chennai: In view of the Ayudha Pooja and Vijayadashami festivals, leaders of various parties, including Edappadi Palaniswami, TTV Dhinakaran, and G.K. Vasan, have extended their greetings.
In a statement issued by AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami, “At the end of the nine sacred days known as Navaratri, I warmly convey my heartfelt Ayudha Pooja and Vijayadashami greetings to all the people of Tamil Nadu who celebrate the ninth day, Ayudha Pooja, and the tenth day, Vijayadashami, with devotion and joy.
If Adhiparasakthi is worshipped in the form of Durga, valor will arise; if worshipped in the form of Lakshmi, wealth will increase; and if worshipped in the form of Saraswati, education will flourish. Based on this belief, people devoutly worship Durga Devi during the first three days of the Navaratri festival, Lakshmi Devi during the next three days, and Saraswati Devi during the last three days.
Ayudha Puja is the festival on which people worship and offer prayers to all the tools of their trade, in honor of the excellence of each person’s profession, which serves as the foundation of their livelihood. Vijayadashami is the festival of victory, on which people worship the Mother, the Great Shakti, and begin auspicious endeavors with the belief that all activities started on Vijayadashami will end in success.
"I once again extend my heartfelt best wishes that all the people of Tamil Nadu who celebrate Ayudha Pooja and Vijayadashami in a way that conveys the meaning of ‘work itself is God’ and ‘success comes through hard work’ may live prosperously, with all wealth and well-being." he said.
AMMK General Secretary TTV Dhinakaran: “On the auspicious occasions of Ayudha Pooja, which honors and worships the greatness of hard work and the power of knowledge, and Vijayadashami, which signifies the victory of good over evil, I extend my heartfelt greetings to all the people of Tamil Nadu.
May Ayudha Puja, the sacred day that carries the noble thought that hard work brings progress and that honors and worships everything from the tools we use to the professions we depend on, and Vijayadashami, the auspicious day that grants success in our endeavors and rewards commensurate with our efforts, give us the mental strength to break through obstacles and the inspiration to move toward new goals, paving the way for us to advance further in life.
On such auspicious occasions, wishing that peace, love, prosperity, and happiness flourish in the lives of all people, and that unity and harmony thrive across Tamil Nadu, I once again extend my heartfelt greetings to everyone on the occasion of Ayudha Pooja and Vijayadashami,” said Dinakaran.
Tamil Maanila Congress leader G.K. Vasan: “This is the day to worship together Goddess Saraswati, who grants education, knowledge, wisdom, and music and brings light into our lives, and Goddess Lakshmi, who grants work, prosperity, and wealth and enriches our lives.
A day when industrial companies clean and worship the machines, equipment, vehicles, computers, and other things that form the foundation of their business, and farmers clean the ploughs, sickles, and other tools that support their farming and worship them by applying sandalwood paste and kumkum as a gesture of gratitude.
“Vijayadashami is an auspicious day to begin children’s education by spreading rice and paddy on a plate and writing the first letter of Tamil, ‘அ’, on it. On the auspicious occasion of Saraswati Pooja and Ayudha Pooja, which bring the light of knowledge and the path of prosperity into our lives, I extend my wishes on behalf of the Tamil Maanila Congress (M) for everyone to excel in life and education, for knowledge and self-confidence to grow, for future dreams to come true, for business to flourish, for wealth to abound, and for success in all fields,” said G.K. Vasan.
Hindu Munnani State President Kadeswara Subramaniam: “At this moment of celebrating Saraswati Pooja, Ayudha Pooja, and Vijayadashami, we pray for the blessings of the three goddesses Saraswati, Lakshmi, and Durga so that everyone may live prosperously and that prosperity and well-being may come to Tamil Nadu. On behalf of Hindu Munnani, we extend our best wishes to everyone for Saraswati Pooja, Ayudha Pooja, and Vijayadashami,” said Kadeswara Subramaniam.
